1:37 Completely wrong! A High Bar Squat takes load of the glutes and hamstrings and puts it even more to your Quads. Why is it that I always detect major bullshit when Scott Herman is speaking on this channel?
there is little research needed as this comes down to basic biomechanics. I see that in your linked video you make the mistake of thinking the bar changes the horizontal position in relation to your knees when you switch between high/low bar. That's only the case if you would angle your torso the same way in both variations. Practically speaking that does not happen since a good squatter always keeps the bar over the center of gravitiy of your own body and thus your body bends further in your hip joint when LOW bar squatting which results in a bigger stretch in your glutes and hamstrings and therefore activating those areas more compared to your quads. According to your logic a front squat would be the ultimate glute/hamstring killer which we all know is absolutely not the case.
ACTUALLY, if you spent 5 minutes doing some research you would find that the HIGH BAR SQUAT recruits MORE HAMSTRINGS AND GLUTES.. seriously.. 5 minutes on google and you could avoid leaving dumb comments like this...
