For scotland he`s played second striker/amf,sometimes gets asked to play deeper as cdm or sometimes as defender.Versatile player for us with such a limited squad. His best position is second striker though.@@Brazil520
He needs to be there. He is a great professional, all the coaches rated him because of his hardwork and attitude.Type of player who has to be there for the team.A Leader and passionate warrior for us!!
One thing I've observed is, yes he is a very unpolished, unfinished article, the ability to move with ball, or to take care of the ball is not at the levels you'd want from a regular midfielder, but he still added a few things in his game, and it's quite late in his career, regular switches, improvement in running with the ball, timings of his tackle, timing of his passes albeit in simple through forward passes on the run, runs into the box, picking up attacking areas, timing of runs, headers, very basic stuff, but still better than they were a year or so ago. Usually players don't improve on those things this late in their career, they have it or don't have it. It shows that even if he will be a limited player, he will have the professionalism of elite level to work on himself, and his physicality and discipline to work on it ensures he can have a long career. Sadly people nowadays have limited acumen and can only appreciate gifted players, who had natural ability on the platter, but lack appreciation for people who work even harder when they lack natural gifts.
What the actual fu*k.. fellaini 2.0. Chest control, touch, strength, bossing midfield, most crucial goals in the league. Big Game player. Mctominay jersey gonna pop in the summer 💫
He's now showing us that he can do it without Fred. I remember so many of us wanted him to be sold. I wanted him to stay and Fred to go, especially because Scott is from our academy, so I was willing for him to stay. I always knew he had some quality, might not be a first choice, but he can have some impact on the game coming on as a sub, which he's been showing this season. I mean, he's been scoring for both club and country. So he has definitely stepped up to another level this season and has silenced the chatty mouths. And I hope he will only push to become better. I'm very proud of Scott from Scotland; it's like it was ordained.
