I’ve had seven Scotties over multiple decades. They’re outstanding characters with unique personalities. Once you’ve had a Scotty in your life, you’ll always want one or more.

That sounds like what happens when you get a border terrier too! 😉 I wonder why we don't see Scotties that much...at least we don't often see them here in the Southeastern U.S.

I have had two Scotties. Kendra and Jillian. They were amazing dogs. What amazed me is they don't forget anything when it comes to hunting prey. Once Kendra found a lizard at our lake house and every year we would take her back, she went right back to that spot spending hours looking for that little lizard. My favorite is probably there a loftness though lol!

They have very distinct qualities about them. I loved that I had to work to earn her affection. Scottie’s are very picky. They reserve their love for their special person. She was also extremely loyal.

Scotties are the best dog. Most compliments whenever I walk him. He’s so fast and playful. Monopoly’s most popular token. Don’t forget George Bush also had a Scottie.

I own a Scotty and am in love with the breed. My Mackenzie is a beautiful baby. Very intelligent and sweet tempered, my Scotty is such a sweetheart. I highly recommend this breed to anyone wanting a wonderful family dog! ❤

We just don't know why we don't see more of them! Is it just us, or do they seem less feisty than other terrier breeds? Maybe it's that we met a very chill show dog. ;)

Our family had a Scottie when I was a teenager. Lovely little guy. And as an adult, my husband and I had 4 Scotties...all male. The night my husband was dying, Duffy II jumped up on the chair beside his bed and stayed there until noon the next day when my husband passed away...I'd heard of things like this happening and now I knew the dog/master bond is not a myth...it's real...

Oh, Joan, we're so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. What a loyal dog, indeed. I had a friend whose Jack Russell stayed with her husband until he passed and when he did, she said the dog went to his crate and cried. We are so blessed with these wonderful creatures. I don't know why we don't see more Scotties. They seem like amazing dogs. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience with us.❤

I've owned 4 Scotties, all of them similar but having unique personalities. You forgot to mention that Scotties have powerful jaws and the sharpest teeth of all dog breeds, along with Shelties. They are playful little monsters, you won't be disappointed! They are exceedingly smart and entertain themselves. They mature mentally at about 1-1.5 years of age, as opposed to typical 3+ yrs for other dog breeds, and live to please their owners. They want to do what you are doing, and are described as a big dog in a little dog package. They make wonderful companions. Scotties are like potato chips, you can't just have one! ❤

I have a little Scottie and she is the cutest and funniest little doggy ever My Scottie she is a girl but she absolutely loves people and dogs but she is very protective off our house and my family like when a pizza guy or the mailman anyone really she barks that’s the only time she barks or when another dog barks she will too but a super friendly dog and we trained her when we first got her as a baby They aren’t the best swimmers either

She sounds wonderful! I've (Megan) always loved this breed and am a huge fan of terriers. There are so many breeds I would just love to have! The swimming thing makes sense because they don't have the longest legs and I'm sure they are more suited to the rocky Scottish terrain.
