This series has been FABULOUS . I ride a street triple thats great. I'm 70 now and long journeys are more difficult now, 100 miles and the old body starts to feel it, so riding with you has made me very jealous. The Vids and drone shots are so good !!! so please keep them coming. Many thanks for keeping the spark alive.

As a southerner that’s never ventured further north than North Yorkshire I must just say how much I’ve enjoyed this series of videos. The scenery looks absolutely stunning and barely a traffic light in sight. I also think the drone will be a great addition to your armoury. Thank you.

Hi TMF - this is exactly why I’ve gone back to biking. I did six years getting to know Skye well on at least two trip per year - as you say magnificent. I’m now looking to do the same on my bike. The tide was out at Eilean D - it’s a sea loch!! Anyway thanks for the memories. If you go again be sure you visit Elgol - now there is the most stunning of views of the Cuillin ridge. What a great trip!

I did a 3 hour bike ride yesterday through all of the little villages, countryside and seeing all the animals out grazing. The UK is such a beautiful place when you get away from the hustle and bustle, It's good for the soul. I don't think you can beat that feeling of you on the machine and exploring places you wouldn't normally go in a car. Nice video mate keep up the good work!

A fantastic 45mins of entertainment. Top quality production and the drone stuff just adds to it. Last day by the pool in Alvor, milking the pool bar WiFi and I’ve loved watching this. On the subject of nodding bikers, I don’t think that it’s dying out, it’s just that you pass so many bikes in a day in those locations that it becomes annoying eventually... thats my experience anyway! Cheers for keeping us entertained.

Great last episode of an awesome tour series TMF. Regarding the 'Nod' I'm still an avid nodder and most bikers around the east midlands nod back, so hopefully it's not totally dying out!

Riding in Spain (in the right hand lane) means that we wave to oncoming riders rather than nod.
@pinkiewerewolf
@pinkiewerewolf 6 лет назад
Here in the States is seems, at times, like the wave is dying out but other times it is more prevalent. I think that in the future it'll fade into the past. I've watched some American RU-vidrs video statement of why they don't wave. Shame, I like the camaraderie.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole series, I agree about being a great 'travel show' and the drone shots add a special dimension. I've watched this in covid sickness iso and it has brought back childhood memories of touring Scotland in 1981 and a recent tour on my R1200RS in the Victorian High Country. I've appreciated your views on many bikes in the past as well. Thanks a lot.

Sir you are an inspiration total gentleman and some tv company needs to snap you up and put you on the big screen where you belong brilliant series as usual and you hit it at right time the weather in Scotland this year has been unbelievable and you can't get any where better when it's like that had a good few runs around highlands over last few weeks lucky to have it on the doorstep so to speak keep up the good work and ride safe ...oh drone footage just makes your vids better and sorry about the grumpy host in b&b never understood why someone gets into a business of this kind and hasn't got the manners to go with it maybe ex traffic warden ..the nod thing is a bike specific thing I think find that with certain bikers but don't understand it nod away sir and if they don't nod back just shows there ignorance

Another stunning series showing Scotland in all its glory. Not often we get such stunning weather like you had, but makes all the difference when touring on the bike. Have to say the roads you followed have to be some of my favorites. Just want to say how much I've enjoyed watching this series of videos by you. They are brilliant, and as has been said before, your drone sequences really add to what are already great videos. I have to admit to binge watching your tours of Scotland since yesterday, the main reason being that in them you are doing something I have wanted to do for so long but never yet managed to. Love the rest of what you do on here as well. Really enjoy watching it all. :-) The only time I've spent in Scotland was in 1990 with my then girlfriend, we spent two wonderful weeks doing a loop from Edinburgh to Pitlochry, Loch Ness, up to Strath Peffer, then Kyle of Loch Alsh, Isle of Skye, down to Oban, over to Bridge of Allan, then back to Edinburgh and the sleeper train back home to Cornwall. In all these years I've never forgotten the beautiful, breath-taking scenery, the friendly locals, the places we stayed in or visited...or, especially, the sight of bikers in ones, twos, or more, with all their gear, riding along roads which, as you say, seem almost to be designed solely for bikes. This summer I'm going to finally get the bike I've always wanted, a big tourer (GS Adventure TE), and I've already asked my girlfriend (different one) if she'd like to do a tour of Scotland. The answer was a very quick YES.

Fabulous series, we loved them although it was agonising having to wait on the next episode. You obviously enjoyed yourself even though you missed some of the best scenery in the area (in our opinion). When heading to Skye turn left before Eilean Donan Castle, signposted The Skye Ferry (summer only) and Glenelg. After a short distance uphill there's a very large car park on the right which gives a fabulous view back down the way you just came, towards the Five Sisters Of Kintail. Continue on uphill and to the Ferry, the last operating manual turntable ferry in the world. It costs about £4-£5 and is worth every penny. On Skye and again heading uphill there's a couple of places before the top where you must stop to take in the view behind. When you reach the A87 turn left and at the far side of Broadford turn left again, signposted Elgol. This is a cul-de-sac but well worth going down. The road itself reminded me of the Hardknott Pass, but when you arrive at the end of the road the view north to The Cuillins is breathtaking (Drone overload). Back to the A87 and turn left again and at Sligachan left at the fork probably signposted for Dunvegan. Take the first on the left signposted Glen Brittle and in a short distance left again then enjoy the run downhill to Loch Brittle. If you get to Uig, enroute to the Western Isles, give yourself time to head up around the north of the island on the A855 past the Museum of Island life and down to Staffin Bay, returning to Uig via the right turn (for a change) and up past The Quirang. Doing that run clockwise means riding uphill past the Quirang, if you prefer to ride it downhill then... If you get to the Western Isles, and really you must, the beaches are unbelievable, if you see anybody on them then you've picked a busy day. One of the things which attracted me to these Islands originally was what was named on a map as 'The Bridge To Nowhere' that was enough to make me want to go. A new road was planned to run up the east coast north from Stornoway and a bridge was completed before the project was cancelled, and yes the bridge does lead to nowhere! If you ever get the chance to be up the North West Coast area again, when you leave Ullapool turn left (there does seem to be a lot of lefts up there) after about two miles, signposted for Achiltibuie and The Summer Isles. On the right hand side there's Stac Pollaidh, not very high but one fabulous hill. Once past that you get to turn right heading towards Lochinver, this is an unclassified but fairly good surfaced road with passing places, it reminded me of the Amalfi coast (in miniature obviously) it was almost disappointing when it ended. Before you reach Lochinver you might be surprised by the sight on the right, an image which will probably stay with you for a long time - Suilven (sometimes called the Sugarloaf Mountain). At Lochinver turn right then left onto the B869 Drumbeg road. This will take you to the A894 which is the main south - north road. My advice would be to give yourself a lot more time to enable you to take in cul-de-sacs, the views are usually different on the return, we've always found them to be worth a visit. Ride safe. Fantastic series and really enjoyed the extra dimension of the drone shots... I'd be more than happy to see more interludes in each episode (your timing for each is perfect). Bring on Nord's adventure. Top work sir!

Love the series, considering a return to motorcycling after mountain biking for the last 20 years, looking at a 1200GS, thanks for the inspiration.

Absolutely great series. I’ve ‘done Scotland’ a few times and it was good to see some familiar places but also to pick up some suggestions for new routes. My wife laughs at me when I watch your vids as I have RU-vid on my iPad while looking at google maps on my phone. “He’s double-devising again”. Right balance of bike and drone footage too. Traditional TV’s days must be numbered when entertainment of this quality is available on RU-vid!

Excellent series TMF, my favorite yet. I live in Central Scotland and have been desperate to get down to the Alps, Picos & Pyrenees but you've made me realise how much great biking roads there are much closer to home. Excellent drone shots and not too much. Cheers Stuart

not you or the GS, lots of folk don't wave, don't give up though even though it hurts and you feel like a wally!
