Been following you a couple of years, but I've just found this series. I love it so far, really enjoyable. I'm from Trondheim myself and did a trip past the Arctic circle, to Narvik in 2020. All the roadworks was done by then, so the speed limit is now a whopping 56 mph. Looking forward to the rest!

I am really hoping that you rode through Hardanger on the west side. Probably my fav place in Norway. Lovely scenery. Known for the Hardanger fjord, apples and other fruits and ciders.

I do envy you. These tours are wonderful. My Bucket List has been sidelined (due to health issues and my 70 years experiences), but if I could I would love to do this ride. On a bike, not in a car! The countryside is so lovely, reminds me of some of the backpacking trips in the western USA. Looking forward to the next episode. Thanks so much for sharing. Stay safe.

Following this series with interest TMF. I’m planning to ride up to the North Cape next year riding back down through Finland. This is a challenge I’m setting myself and will be done to raise money for cancer research. You sure were lucky with the weather.

Definitely a must watch, loving it. I think the road surfaces stay so good because, if like Finland they don’t salt them when the snow arrives and then just drive with studded tires on the compacted snow.

I really do believe this is my favorite series so far, Flyer! What a lucky man you are to take such trips. I don't think the USA does it quite like you guys over there. I've just come back from a month long trip (although by car, can't afford a bike next to it atm) to the north cape and back. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Your video series makes me want to go back immediately! Maybe its an idea for you as well, it only gets better up north, and loads of bikers. I've even spotted a few all the way from China.

Just finished riding through some beautiful country in West Virginia. Weather was cool this morning and a friend and I rode our bikes all morning and then had a very excellent lunch. The ride was only 4 hours but the longest trip I have taken since recovering from my surgery. After lunch I watched your video re: The Arctic Circle and as always enjoyed your touring video. It was a great way to wind down after a nice morning ride. Always look forward to your travel videos. Keep them coming.

Well done! But you should have gone all the way up to Cape Nord! I rode my 2005 Triumph Tiger in 2011 all the way from New Jersey and back to the arctic circle in Alaska 18,000 kms. Even though I plan to ride to Arctic circle and beyond in Norway one day, this ride is child's play compared to the one in Alaska, where you have a true sense of adventure where anything can happen on the Alaska and Dalton's Hw's. Also both you and motorbike will be properly dirty and will not be the same ever.

Yeah that seems like highway robbery. My wife and I had two pizzas from Domino's in Bergen few months ago, because we wanted to try some of the weird flavors. It cost me 20 usd for two zzas. I wouldn't praise them, since I am from Chicago I know a thing about good pizza.

16.5C sounds like great riding weather, especially with those skies. When I took my MSF class here in the states it was -3.8C (January in the Carolinas, next week was probably in the mid teens (C).)

@@TheMissendenFlyer the roads are much less improved im Canada, the last run up the Dempster Highway is all gravel and no services for almost 400 kms. If it rains the road becomes 6 inch deep mud course.. when it is dry the dust chokes you... but the scenery is just amazing! Makes the trip worth it. Did this ride 2 up, 14,000 kms in 3 weeks and camped a bunch as well.

I spent a month this year up in the Arctic Circle. We crossed into Russia from Finland. let me tell you, it is NOT a place for bikes. Northern Russia's roads are appalling. We were in 4x4s but met a few bikers who were almost in tears. Great trip though, we saw the Northern Lights several times and drank a lot of vodka. We then crossed back into Norway and as you discovered, it's stunning. At this point in the film, you really haven't seen the best of it yet.

Lovely, very familiar for somewhere I’ve never been. Particularly the single track road. Seams rather anticlimactic. Just a parking lot full of RVs. And a burger. Still a box, I haven’t ticked. I live at 49 so only about 1O50 nautical miles away. You were pretty close again in Alaska and Dawson. Not sure I’d want to try the Dempster on a fully loaded GS though.

It was fine for Norway in early autumn. Yesterday was the only rainy day, I did 600 km soaked through in 13 degree weather. Nordkapp was 6 degrees, road to Nordkapp about 11. Arctic circle was about 13 degrees in general. I knew what I signed up for and it was absolutely perfect. The views, especially near Alta are impossible. I think I can understand the Scandinavian myths now. It was almost a religious experience and I say it as a sceptic. You have to go north. It was insane. The fjords are better than art. It's the cost of everything that is the bad part of this trip. You've said it's expensive. I make euro 25 per day in Poland ;)

Great stuff again TMF. You mentioned how busy tourist traffic is in northern Norway. We have the same issues herein Canada. It seems as though a pilgrimage to the north and, subsequently, the arctic is on many peoples bucket lists. The summer months finds our northern highways chock full of RV's and other tourists. I think its great that people can get out and wander still. I look forward to my own pilgrimage to the Arctic Ocean sometime in the next couple of years.

Just watching this series in 2021 having an extended Easter break following lockdown restrictions in the UK. Like many of us I’ve been out a lot over the last week, for me riding all over North Yorkshire dialling back in after several months off the bike. Great series TMF and if this isn’t an inspiration to get out there on tour once we’re all properly set free I don’t know what is. 👍

I’m on the Amalfi coast this week and the best pizza I ever ate cost me 4,50 euro. Thats 3 pound 70. What a difference! 😄 great video again! Can’t wait until you hit the westcoast. I used to fly there out of Bodo and Bardufoss back in the day when I was still young and beautiful😄

Well, the views are really spectacular, but the traffic is an experience😄 Super busy. Roads are very narrow with people walking on them, scooters flying by left and right and people parking their cars just around the corner where you cant see them. We were in a car, but on a bike would be much better. I’ve never seen anything like it. Maybe Bombay😄

And the roads are so twisty, that you hardly can get above 30. It’s like a mountainside that sinks straight into the sea, with a very small ledge where people live. It is spectacular though.

Hey mister... Thanks for wonderful videos! But, I´m sorry you missed the best part of roads in Norway. You should have chosen the coast road that goes from Namsos, through small cities like; Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen and all the way up to Bodø, before you enter the E6 again! To me and most of Norwegians, the E6 is like; Boooriiiing! Sorry to say so :-(. The coast road is spectacular in all ways, and offer a lots of elevation shifts, lots of twisties, and absolutely made for mc-riding :-) It takes you through the most wonderful scenery that Norway has to offer in the northern part of the country, and the nature is breathtaking. Yes, there is always a catch, and there are 6/7 ferries you have to take (I don´t remember the exact number). But as a biker, you will always be first in the line, and the natural brakes that the ferries makes, feels just ok. If you do ride this road some time in the future, you will agree with me that it´s worth the extra miles and time it tales to drive it, -and even all the ferries. Being a Yorkshireman living in Scotland I shall not be visiting unless the exchange rate goes the other way and everything is half the price of the UK. £36 for a pizza and no curry house, being a Bradford lad originally I couldn’t do without a curry. Great films you’re making, but you stopped were the adventure of the north starts! You must have another trip to the north.... start in Bodø, Lofoten islands, and continue towards Finnmark and Grense Jacobselv... I’ll guide you👍

Being from Norway I find your view and outlook very interesting- you see things that I haven’t thought about myself. Your comparison to Scotland I agree with- I Rode 5 days in northern Scotland this summer. Looking forward to see your take on the coastal route southwards!
