If you do this again, please cut the lawn before checking on the 7 day result. Grass is always going to look greener if you are comparing a tall cut to a short cut.

For $40.00 you could get a Scotts broadcast spreader with wheels. The small spreader you are using is great for flower beds not large lawn areas.

This product is trash.. everything from scotts is trash, complete waste of money..the grass seeds do not last at all.

I have used Scotts uncoated grass seed from Costco and Green Max from Costco for the last three years on my journey to make the grass look awesome. I have tried other brands as well. Scotts makes it simple once you figure out how big your lawn is. I have one of the best lawns in the neighborhood and I used to have a patchy weed ridden lawn with bald spots. So much grass, chokes out the weeds. Most people have a destroyed lawn and wait until it is summer to try to fix it. You fix in the spring, you fix in the fall, you maintain in the summer. If you have cool season grass, you cannot grow grass when the temperature is too hot or too cold. I don't care for the coated grass seeds from Scotts, but I can tell you, you're doing it wrong or you have multiple issues you are trying to solve with one product. Once the lawn is set up properly, you can run on auto pilot with maintenance. If you think one application of a product is going to fix everything, you are mistaken, and that is if the product was even applied properly and at the right time of year.
