I feel very fortunate to have have been to enjoy Jerry Jeff's music ever since first listening to " the brown album " in the early 70s. He has left a great legacy of music and life stories. His music lives on in mine and many others lives on a daily basis.

My thoughts exactly ... I feel lucky to have been introduced to JJW early in life (70s), when I was really able to focus on who he was and what he was doing. When I first heard the album cut of, "STONEY," it stopped me in my tracks, made me realize the power (and Art) of good storytelling in songs. It's NOT as easy as he made it seem! I always loved his deep, imperfect singing voice too, his phrasing, rambling comments, loved it all, so influential on my own style. I will carry JJW in my heart always, and I know I'm not alone there. ♡ Miss him already... Thank you for sharing it all, JJW.

Nice interview. Nice to sort of meet Django. I haven't had the chance to hear him play yet. Condolences and peaceful thoughts for his Dad, a person whose music was part of the fabric of my life. RIP.

Gypsy Songman’s music will live on and on. I met JJW at the PFF way back when, and I go to he’s him sing sing a few years later. I still have the words to his songs in my head. I hope the young generations discover his albums.

I liked sitting at the Bar also, one night after talking to this man for a couple hours he says your Father was a Fire Chiefin Sumas, He told me he had bought Dads old truck many years before. I have run into so many folks that I knew on the road!

I don't know who Scotty Bennett is, but he's a great interviewer. I remember seeing Django as a kid play "The Cape" by Guy Clark at one of Jerry Jeff's birthday parties at the Paramount. This interview brought back a lot of old good memories.

Django played for a party we hosted in like 2006 in Huntsville, he seemed like a pretty cool guy. I wish I had tried to talk to him more. I remember I asked his band to play ramblin scramblin and they all looked at me like I was crazy...haha i dont think they knew what the hell I was talking about.
