Scotty Simpson's Fish & Chips has been a Detroit landmark since 1950, when James (Scotty) Simpson opened the doors and started serving fish and chips. There have been only three owners since: Scotty, (Uncle) Sean Gilmore, and the current owner Harry Barber. Harry has worked at Scottys since 1966.
The style of the place hasn’t changed much either. It’s like a step back in time. From the patterned carpet to the wooden and vinyl chairs, Scotty's screams of the good old days.
This is one of the few places left you can count on for great food at a reasonable price... once you try our fish, you're hooked!
