If you are looking for a new hunting spot, this video will help you know what to look for. Is this spot worth hunting? Should I spend more time here? Should I give up and move on to the next spot?
In this video, we walk you through the three key characteristics of what I look for when trying to find a productive hunting spot as I am hunting a new piece of country:
1) Does this area have critical habitat features for a productive hunting spot?
2) Is there a recent sign of activity in the area? Is there enough sign to warrant for the time in the area?
3) Is the area conducive to how I hunt? Is it huntable?
When I’m looking for a new spot, I evaluate these three characteristics and decide if it’s worth investing more time or moving to the next spot.
If you liked this video then join me for the 2-hour live webinar where I will get into the details of assessing a new country and finding secret spots. This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and discuss strategies to help you be a successful hunter.

Love this channel, I'm learning so much without the arrogance, ego and obnoxious celebration after the kill giving a hunter a respectable image.

Great video! Drew for the first time and was curious if you had any pointers. Currently 2 months from the hunt date and I don't know where to begin.

Great video, enjoyed it. One thing that I find often complicates things is that so much of our land is open pasture. So the browse may have been from cattle. Keep up the great videos!

I just completed my 3rd season of Hunting in BC & watch countless videos throughout the whole year. I really enjoy your delivery & breakdowns of why. Your teaching me & others valuable lessons most are not eager to share. Any seminars online or live I would 100% make myself available for, look forward to the next video. I’m taking my kids Predator Hunting first time this Jan & Feb that be great to see if u have any content on Predators.

What hunting app do u use on your phone for getting back to truck. I watched you Orienteering video and u mentioned using the app on your phone but u never said the name of the app thanks for your time.

"iHunter" is a must have for hunting in BC. Will show you regs where you are and also where private and public land is. Also "Topo Maps Canada" is good for tracking your route and dropping pins.

I use iHunter mostly for mapping. I also use the GPS Kit app as a gps tool. I have a couple of apps for Topo maps. IHunter is probably the best bet for an all-in-one app
