I would highly recommend going with the higher plan to have access to download the database. There are many thrift stores and tons of goodwills where you go in and immediately lose service on your phone
What a informative seminar, for newbies who are just beginning to explore the idea of reselling books; and is in need of information as to what app one should consider, to start out with! Thank you for posting this!! 👍
Scoutly crashed my phone and forced it to factory settings while scanning books, 2 separate times. I lost everything on my phone. I was forced to go with a different scanner app that cost more money. On top of that, it happened 3 days after the trial was up and I was charged. Since I switched apps, it's never happened again. I scan about 500 books a day at used book stores and thrift stores.
@TaltonRoberson have you had issues with Scoutly making you reboot your phone or lose all your data and reinstall all your programs on your phone? Also, I wonder what type phone those people had. Android or iPhone?
Hi! I'm watching this today, June 13th, 2024! I'm just getting going on books and Amazon. 2 qurstions...still profitable at this point? Could you please share your triggers on stoutly and scoutiq? Thx
I use scoutly mainly because to use scoutiq you need a professional account. I got used to scoutly so I stick with it. Could you make a video on trigger settings you would use for cd and dvds.
Yes! While there are many marketplaces within Europe, Scoutly has the ability to compare to the uk, Germany and France marketplaces. I’m unsure about scoutiq as of this moment
To be clear, can I only purchase Scout IQ if I have a Professional seller account on Amazon? I am doing FBM but I've heard I would need to upgrade if I want to purchase any Scout IQ plans. Thanks for the info ;)
I used Scoutly for a month and 2 times the app triggered a factory reset of my phone while scanning books with a barcode scanner. The first time I thought it was just my phone. But the second time it happened in the same used book store, in the same book section. So I decided to switch to ScoutIQ. I wish that I could change the sounds though.
@@asellertoolscoutlyturbolis7165 You may think that but I scanned the same books later with ScoutIQ and nothing happened. I think it had to do with the way Scoutly deals with unrecognized barcodes. I was really disappointed because I liked all the extra settings you get with Scoutly than with ScoutIQ and the triggers were more accurate in my opinion. I used to love the cash register sound when I found a book.
