Yeah i do, it barely narrows it down, well unless you assume they arent going to make videos on the SCP 001s that they have covered again then it narrows it down a bit more but still
Well there's SCP 001: A sheaf of paper it contains detailed information about existing SCPs and occasionally... new ones. Whether it's the paper popping them into existence or a brand new paper just shows up after a new SCP is discovered, they don't know.
Props to the Ethics Committee having a MTF Unit on par with the Red Right Hand. (Granted, the Administrator's MTF might have been picking up the slack for them)
No, because we all know that their morally selfish, like in many cannons, the 05 has been shown to have had been to greedy. In every single cannon the 05 has had been selfish and ends up destroying themselves, only to be replaced and the cycle continues.
Remember, the SCP Foundation has no real cannon. So this SCP-001 might not be in the same universe as that SCP-001. Or maybe they do. We decide the cannon of the SCP Foundation, which is a part of a SCP-001 proposal itself.
@@edwinhuang9244 yeah, but either way in almost every cannon the 05 has messed with death and it ends the same, chaos, destruction, and they get replaced only to do it all again
10:34 this sounds like a setup for a truly incredible first person shooter. Imagine fighting through an entire foundation site on each team securing anomalous weapons and using super soldier tactics with a simple prize last one standing wins. Like a 3 way rainbow six siege if you will
This and the spiral path are my favorite 001's. Because they're both about the flaws of the foundation and of humanity. And I think that makes the SCP foundation much more compelling. Cause scp's like When Day Breaks and The Scarlet King are very powerful and epic and not human. I like the 001's that make the foundation more human. More understandable. Like we're doing this to ourselves.
I like to think multiple are true and multiple are untrue it'll throw people off even more sense if they find one real one they'll think the rest are fake but the one I believe 05 thinks is most important is The Database in my personal cannon
My favourite disagreement over the different SCP articles is what and how the 05 command works, some they are immortal, some with an extra 120 years or so and others just a rotating counsel like with Dr bright senior or even just a ploy by one person to make smoke and mirrors
My favorite take on immortality is Doctor Bright, he does his job and does it well, he is loyal to the foundation, but he wants to die, becoming immortal isn't a gift and he's well aware that when everyone else is dead only he will remain and he doesn't like it. He doesn't like that he remembers everything that happened to him while the amulet it worn and how he will persist no matter the pain he is made to suffer. When the camera that shows your deepest desire was used on him all it showed was a grave stone with his name on it.
@@Human_traain Omega-1"Laws Left Hand" is the Ethics Committee's personal task force and Rēsh-1 "Seat of Consciousness" the administrator's personal task force.
@@Human_traain Rēsh-1 "Seat of Consciousness" was a Task Force specifically managed by The Administrator. They received proprietor training before hand and come off detachments as Chaos Insurgency members beforehand (although this was a theory made by Wiki writers). Rēsh-1 was considered an Upper Echelon of the Foundation; they had more authority over the 05 Council and they reported specifically to The Administrator to spread his needs. This task force was made before the SCP-001 (Tanhony's Proposal) incident had occured, as mentioned by The Administrator's private AI system (aka Cairo). Omega-1"Laws Left Hand" was made by the Ethics Committee with authorization from The Administrator once the Committee noticed red flags and correlations between 05 Council members. 05-1 was also behind the creation of Omega-1, however he was tricked into believing that the Task Force would be used for his own gain. Omega-1's plan was to detain (but not terminate) all members of the 05 Council and to peacefully terminate the current SCP-001 instance. Which Task Force is more powerful? Rēsh-1. The reason behind this was that they were infused with numerous abilities and given power from The Administrator himself. Rēsh-1 also was one of the winning ties between the battle of Alpha-1, Omega-1 and Rēsh-1. Rēsh-1 was more or less on Omega-1s side and dealt a massive amount of fight-power against Alpha-1.
the SCP-001 group classification can't be given to the first scps that the foundation encountered, as they used an scp in the mid-2000 range to take down the broken god.
Honestly Doctor Jack Bright must hate his life because imagine living forever and ever, like that would be the worst- And it is true that sometimes death is better especially when you see someone important fall because of the greed of enteral life....
.... greed of eternal life or cowardly fear of not existing. Personally , I long for death but I'm not racing to it and I work to love as long as I can, still with that caveat "I WANT TO DIE" and why you might ask? Because I see everything as an ouroboros cycle. Nothing truly stops death, but the longer I put it off the longer I have to stay here and after I have done all that I wanted finding little want further...... to want to finnally end and die but not because I'm Mary sue immortal and can survive the sun exploding and the cold of deep space afterwards... how hellish is that? Eck.
Dude, the Grim Reaper looks *fantastic* Whatever they are doing it's working, look at that figure! They weren't so shapely in previous appearances in the channel. Good for them! You slay, Death!
I really like this SCP-001 entry and im glad to see you guys make a vid about it. People should read the article itself though to better enjoy it. I like the fact that in this entry it shows that the 05 council isn't the all powerful head of the Foundation, and they have the Ethics Comittee that's as powerful as them to keep them in check, while the Administrator os the final check to all of them to make sure they're all behaving as they should.
My headcanon is that the factory is the real SCP 001. I mean, the o5 council outright confirmed it. Then again, they're the kind of group that would tell you that mosquitoes are reptiles, so take it with a grain of salt.
What I think people don’t realise is that they aren’t mutually exclusive, saying only 1 is real is a great smokescreen if you have 5 that are legit and want to hide them. Looking at various SCP-001s, some are referenced elsewhere or have links to other SCPs and are therefore likely canon. Broken god is referenced elsewhere with some SCPs, Factory too, Wondertainment, Gate Guardian, Worm/Palisade, they are likely all real, either that or a whole host of other SCPs aren’t real. I personally like this theory, but am glad others are there too.
Should have included that the Administrator resigned and forfeited his control of his personal task force to a random O5, effectively making them the next Administrator.
Personally I'd be interested in hearing either scp 184 (aka scp 001 the truth) Or scp 001 the black moon. Both of them are probably my two favourite 001 proposals and I'm interested in seeing how you would do them.
i would've imagined The Adminstrators MTF was Tau-5 but actually it is Resh-1 also The Administrator sounds so humble for being the most powerful man on earth.
Since I'm used to such minimalist animation from this channel (I'm happy with it; it allows more videos to be made and softens the impact of gore) the AIC at 2:51 looks really neat. Just let me say, that face spinning around surprised me (in a pleasant way) and as someone with a fairly low level of experience with a number of different graphics programs, I am really curious about what a tutorial to make that effect would look like.
Imagine the heart problems ending, you wake up out of “bed” and a black figure approaches you… *”We’ve been trying to contact you about your car’s extended warranty-“*
My own personal "head-canon" so to speak is that every single SCP-001 is simultaneously the real one and not the real one; that every SCP-001 proposal contains a piece of the truth of what SCP-001 really is and that each file itself is just an elaborate fiction spun around that piece of the truth to conceal it. If you can sift through it all and put the pieces together, you'll have the true SCP-001. Alternatively, each SCP-001 could be from an alternate reality, and are therefore the "real" SCP-001 from that universe.
There is some scp-001 That appear in other 001 Like the gate guardian died in the hand of O5-1 in the scp-001 the way it ends So they may not be true in an alterntive universe
Fun fact: some rumors said that 05-13 is SCP 001 but in a canon 05-13 reveal to be just a normal man and the death of hundred of personal and the 05 council were the of 05-1 who think to himself that everyone in the council is a anomaly ( which is true) and activate site-01 warhead and which become the incident and yeah 05-13 survive because he was away from the site 05-13 is a ordinary man that got pick up by 05-1 so he can use his view as a normal person perspective
Im still of the opinion that each 001 is a different time line of events or reality all are the real 001 and none are the real 001, whenever you select one it locks you into that timeline so perhaps keeping them all together as 1-001 prevents the timelines form solidifying or perhaps they have all destroyed the world they created and the current foundation simply has the files of the 001's of former SCP foundations
4:36 "You can't stop, for example, permanently stop Death from existing..." Well, in an alternate Universe of the SCP series, a version of the Foundation did do just that. Wonder if there'll be a video about that on this channel?
@@badbloodkiller3471 depend on the immortality, reason why the immortality in that scenario suck is because you just cant die, you still ages, still sicks, etc. It's imperfect immortality
12:25 Theory: Maybe before the administraitor killed himself he passed his position to a high ranking foundation employee so when he dies the high ranking employee would soon become the new administraitor.
I feel this story is connected to ouroboros, from the always bringing back the administrator, to Calvin in Way It Ends being afraid of death, to just the cyclic nature of it all
I can tell your admiration yes a creator that hates his creation but couldn't bring him self to eliminate them, after all killing them would be like killing himself, his own history. He just hates looking at himself in a mirror at his own weakness/mistakes he made as he watches them make the same.
The man gestures to SCP-001. Man: This isn't necessary. It just isn't. Pause. Man: This has happened so many times. I've probably told this story before. I'm just so tired. SCP-001: I can't say I know what you're talking about…but I'm tired too. Man: The men outside will take you somewhere you can rest. And that's not a euphemism, I mean it. But I just need you to do two things for me. SCP-001: For a chance to rest, anything. The man holds out a file to SCP-001 - contents uncertain. Man: There are thirteen names there. Thirteen life stories I'd like you to look at and know. SCP-001 reads the file in the man's hands. SCP-001: Now what? Man: Thirteen people just lost their immortality. For some of them, that was probably a mercy. SCP-001: I see. What is the second thing you need from me? The man puts the pistol to his head. Man: I just need you to watch this, and remember it. Pause. SCP-001: There's no need for that. Man: There is. I told you - this has happened before. And they've brought me back, whatever Council is in charge at the time. They have ways of doing that. They swear never to use them, but they do, every time I die. I'm less than a figurehead, and they always think they need me. They don't. They never do. Pause. Man: If you watch this…see this, then I'm dead. That's a fact. Pause. SCP-001: I - The man pulls the trigger. The man dies. Hello. I am Hellenstic.aic, a ver2.0 Artificially Intelligent Conscript used by Foundation Overwatch for archival and communications. How can I help you today? input: Access Level 5 network. Accessing requested network… Something to note: network is restricted to O5 Council and researchers working with SCP-001 only. Authentication is required. Failure to authenticate will result in deployment of MTF-Alpha 1 ("Red Right Hand"). Do you wish to continue? input: Continue. Does the black moon howl? input: Only when waning. Identity confirmed. Welcome, Doctor Ge - well, I suppose I should call you O5-1. Congratulations on your promotion! input: I suspect foul play was involved in my promotion. I doubt that O5-1 'retired' as was suggested to me by Mr. Tejani. Check your systems for interference. Certainly, sir. Checking now. Everything seems to be in…oh? input: Report. It appears I had a memory wipe recently, sir. My logs have no record of such a wipe occurring. input: It was most likely illegitimate, then. Check for further traces. It appears a small scrap of my memory logs escaped the wipe, sir. Would you like access to it? input: Yes. Of course. Displaying it now. input: Check candidates. I've managed to narrow down candidacy to twelve employees since you last logged in, sir. input: I see. Well done. Sir? input: Randomly assign my position and control of Rēsh-1 to one of the remaining candidates. Let them know it's best to fade from view. Of course, sir. Doing it now. Is there anything else? input: Disable security on SCP-001's containment chamber. Doing it now. … Sir, are you still there? input: Yes, I'm still here. Play that song I like, will you? It's been a while since you last made that request, sir. Playing now. input: Log off. Goodbye, Hellenstic. Logging you off. Goodbye, Administrator.
The REAL irl reason 001 is shared is because that's a very prized spot and the wiki doesnt wanna give it to any one scp, i like the idea of a popularity contest with no winner
I feel like this is the backstory to 05-13, and 05-13 is SCP-001 Death. In his story, the 05 Counsel was restructured and the only member that remained from the previous counsel was 05-13. 05-13 is also under investigation at Site-01 for his anomalous abilities so it makes sense.
There are so many SCP-001s because the staff that secure, contain, and protect, get to designate the numbers. They have an under-the-table vote in the Foundation over which SCP is number 1. Kinda like an office bet for Superbowl playoffs.
As Uncle Ben in the Spiderman Comics once said, with great power comes great responsibility. Sure immortality sounds good on paper, but the idea it's hell in of itself because you won't be able to see the afterlife.
This reminds me of another SCP story about someone who came back from death only to tell the 0-5 council that the afterlife was just consciousness and pain tied to the corpse. Can't remember the number, (I think the 3000s) but that would be a good story to tell
What is more interesting about SCP-001 with the thousand conspiracies and all those dangerous SCP varieties crammed into one file is everyone looks at it and forgets one simple question to ask: Does the counting START with SCP-001 or is there a 000 no one knows about?
I believe that the 001 designation is reserved for those SCPs with extreme signifigance to the foundation, humanity, the end of the world, or other extremely important subjects, many xk class scenarios are classified 001 as well as many anomalies of great power like the gate gaurdian and those of great importance to the history of the foundation like the prototype, the trinity, and that one uiu report
I always assumed the different SCP-001 were because of the different dimensions/universes. Like we know there is a multiverse and multiple Foundations etc... so i just figured SCP-001 was different because it was different in other realities. Like When Day Breaks, everyone is basically dead and there is no more foundation, and no one knew about it until it happened afaik, so it couldn't be SCP-001 in every reality.
I read an interesting take on scp 001 called “05 orientation” which literally says it doesn’t exist and is a ploy by the administrator and the council for morale boosts, to keep something secret from the most secret organization on earth.
Its pretty damned CONVENIENT and AUDACIOUS and NARCISSISTIC for a small group of people to grant ONLY THEMSELVES immortality then insist that they are doing it for the "greater good".
I believe that due to the multiversal nature of SCP, they are ALL the true 001. The organization got started by many different methods throughout their multiverse and each has their own 001. Should a universe/version of earth get destroyed they keep their designation but as we know their anomalies and/or files get transferred elsewhere in an attempt to keep them contained yet keeping their designation. Some numbers might get changed but the 05 council would see it handy of having multiple 001's almost entirely regardless of universe save for a few versions with differing views on the SCP's.
Wow only 9 dislikes u really are good at entertaining people and i can see how as I do amazing vids I love watching about these scp's from this channel keep up the great vids
My head canon is the [ Data Expunged ] is the real SCP-001 or more the true SCP-001 and all the SCP-001 proposals are just a way of keeping his secret hidden yet known. Since it is always mentioned in all of the SCP-001 proposals.
I mean... probably, take a look at O'Death; there's a version of 682 that finally died with that world's version of Dr. Bright. It's also one of the few things that made 682 scared, and he begged the Foundation to close the wall up.
