+Andreas Stjerneklar Kristensen I'm so glad you liked the read. Our lack of views comes from how young our channel is; we've only been uploading consistently and trying to grow the channel since about July. Over time, and with help from the community, hopefully more and more people hear about it.

This is easily my favorite SCP-001 entry. It has made me more scared than anything else. The Scarlet King may end all realities, but the way I see it, at least you’ll be granted death. There is nearly nothing that can stop any of the melted. None of the others have ever given me anything near the level of horror I feel for When Day Breaks. And this reading put in the perfect emotions for the entry. It was done perfectly. All of the sound effects feel appropriate and weren’t just described as they were. That might not sound awful and it isn’t. The sounds just add so much more. Nothing scares me more than When Day Breaks.

I listen to SCP readings during work and I discovered you yesterday. The quality is top notch and the skips you do, along with the voice acting and editing sends shivers through me. This one and 3001 are absolutely stunning in so many ways it's hard to describe. I can't wait for more wonderful content like this.

:D! I really love these longer ones you do Sherm, I know they take a lot of work but man are they worth it. I've started to really anticipate these, the shorter ones a really fun but these are freakin adventures! And really nice job on the sound effects, between them, your cadence, and the faint music it paints a REALLY immersive picture. Thanks a ton for all effort you put into making these. PS: I Think these would get more appreciation if you make a playlist of the longer ones on your page, especially since playlists sometimes show up in feeds and the amount of total watch time the playlist has makes it show up more. I know I for one would love to put that playlist on in the background sometimes.

S. D. Locke's Proposal is the one true SCP-001. S. D. Locke's Proposal is the only proposal that has existed, currently exists, and will ever exist in the history of the SCP Foundation. I remember where I was when I first learned that Day had Broke. I felt that a gap in my heart had been fulfilled, a deep longing for good writing had been completed once and for all. I felt like I had witnessed the birth of God. I gazed at its elegant prosal beauty, wondered at its grotesque, existential horror, and marveled at its deep, apocalyptic detail. And as I read this magnificent piece of writing, I understood one thing: I can make memes out of this. Forget the sheaves of paper, the gate guardians, the vinyl records, the spiral paths, and the factories. Forget imaginary occult wars, blind spots upon the gaze of God, 36 angels that could bring quiet days, a planet of Hands long forgotten. No, When Day Breaks is the ultimate culmination of an SCP, because of one reason: I can make memes out of this. And so I did. I flooded /r/DankMemesFromSite19 with my clever, witty, and original funny captions and images, talking about how Day had bROKE and we were all going to die and become fREE. Each new meme, posted an average of every 6 hours, added something new and unique to the conversation, something hilariously funny and topical and not at all rather stale and trite. I saw the heartbreaking story told within its prose, the deep detail about the slow death of the Foundation, and the frighteningly complex way the flesh creations were described, and I ignored it all, distracted by one thought alone: I can make memes out of this. All glory to When Day Breaks. All glory to Shaggydredlocks. All glory to the memes.

Am I the only one wondering what all the unorganic SCP's reaction to this was ?, actually 682 may have survived, he probably was deep in site 19 and could over hear stuff going on, and I wonder if 035 could possess a 001-A instance and use it, actually I could go on and on about every SCP's scenario: 106 would dwell underground, 096 would just consume every 001-A instance that would try to drag him out, 173 would just be roaming earth confused, 457 would grow to unimagineable sizes and I don't think 966 would even be affected.

Interesting idea but what do you think would happen to SCP-049. In there file it says the cloths they wear are actually there skin but here is an interesting idea, if his skin acted as protection from the light that means SCP-001-1 would not be able to rip there protection off and SCP-049 would be able to do as he pleases. What do you think there reaction to SCP-001-1 would be if this were the case, don't you think SCP-049 would think of SCP-001-1 as a plague that needs to be cured?

Great reading. The ending could have been a little better, but that has nothing to do with you. That's just a plot thing. And I have to say that I was convinced and still am that 106 was there with her. And I'm not sure what she was gonna get stuck with at the end, but it probably isn't as bad as what would have happened to her if 106 had gotten ahold of her.

That's Ari at least her soul. After Ari died, Logan started to do ritauls to bring back Ari but the rituals went wrong and she was made. The last update was made by ghost Ari

Juan Rodrigez each SCP-001 is the start of a new cannon, an alternate timeline of events for say. Also, SCP-001 was originally to be the ultimate fate of humanity, so SCP-001 When Day Breaks fits this requirement perfectly

just get to a site and use a reality bending scp to remove the sun and clone a different star of it size, and then use the deus ex machina.

Procedure: Stage 1: Wear lots of dark clothes, especially hoodies and dark masks. Get water and canned food. Start your hike to the site. Stage 2: Get to a SCP that can bend reality. Try to find out how to remove and replace the sun. Stage 3: Hide from every 001-A instance and try to reach SCP-2000 without making noise. Stage 4: Once you find SCP-2000, find a way to clone yourself. (Artificial clones do not count as real flesh) Stage 5: Hide from all 001-A instances or die via burn or other (such as going to SCP-409 and turning into a statue and die.) Stage 6: Find a way to Unlondon. (the bobbies know about it.) Stage 7: Once all 001-A instances are dead, everything is finally normal! MESSAGE: *Fear the light, embrace the dark.*
