On my quest down the SCP rabbit hole chat told me i needed to look into SCP 001: The Black Moon... never did I expect to be this horrified but this is probably the most horrifying scp story I've ever looked into from beginning to end.... thanks ‪@SCP‬ for this...

This story was awesome. The only way to defeat a multi planes dimensional being is to bait it, put it on your level, and beat it senseless in a fist fight. What a story and the administrator is a legend.

They didn’t really go into detail but what they did is basically make a human shaped hole being the only way the black moon was able to enter the bunker, which is why its form was forced into that of a human person

Dr. Brights amulet should still be floating around since Dr. Bright only has a consciousness while being connected to a human. Meaning Dr. Bright is still alive

Well, the administrator waited until matter was gone and everything outside is empty. Even subatomic particles like protons will decay eventually. The only thing that remained was information in the form of where the administrator is; some metaphysical plane that is the bunker he resides in, the last place of information and consciousness. After winning he pushes the button.

Honestly the video left out something from the file that just expands on The Administrator's will power and willingness to see this through the end and that is a conversation with the 3rd member of the O5 Council whomst went to make a test The Admin takes every once in a while to check on his sanity. At the end of the test, The Administrator asks O5-3 is they have read Moby Dick since it's one of his favorite books and really felt identified with Captain Ahab, and while O3-5 expands on how the book was about Ahab's certain doom trying to pursue a vendetta against a force of nature, The Admin tells them that that wasn't the impression they got of it at all. Rather *Ahab didn't try hard enough*

when the narrator described the black moon "thinking", i figured THAT would be what would kill it, because in becoming conscious it would become a direct threat to itself. i saw it playing out as a mind game where the administrator would have a conversation with it and slowly make it understand that it too was now an intelligent being and once it realized that fact it would face an internal paradox that would lead to it destroying itself. the administrator calmly asking "why" the entity was doing the things that it was doing and the things that it had done in the past. as it answered more questions about it's motivations it would steadily get weaker, until the final questions asking about why the entity wants to continue on and whether it is alive or not. the final battle for the universe would have consisted of a quiet conversation over some drinks.

i thought a similar thing was gonna happen but instead with the administrator passing on the torch of counterbalance to the dark moon itself, then causing the dark moon to snuff itself out of existence as the positive and negative cancel eachother

Ones to recommend: • SCP 3166 - Garfield • SCP 001 - The other variations (the guardian and the factory) • SCP 053 - The young girl (ties in with SCP 682) • SCP 5000 - The suit • SCP 4666 - Yule man • SCP 323 - The Wendigo • SCP 3000 - the long eel (taps into the fear of deep bodies of water) And if you need a wholesome one • SCP 2295 - the patchwork teddy bear ( the teddy bear that sacrifices itself to save human lives by making replicas of the parts that fail in the human body.)

SCP foundation is multiversal. So some SCP 001s are real in some timelines, some SCP 001s are real in others and maybe some are made up. (Also I think that SCP-001 - Dr. Wondertainement was the inspiration for the revival of the celestial Toymaker in new Doctor Who)

A little off on uncertainty principle. Its observation, concious or not. Basically, you need something to measure. But a measure influences what you measure or there is no measurement. The smaller the thing measured, the more the energy added by measurement changes the object measured. So if you measure speed, you cant know its position because getting a particles speed imparts energy that will change its location so much youll only have a percentage idea of where it is.

btw the administrator is not the founder of the foundation. the founder created the foundation after his encounter with scp-001 the factory which is what i consider the actual 001. the administrator did however shape the foundation into what it is

The Black Moon is my favorite SCP-001 proposal. It is beautiful and it can easily fit as the origin of the current universe. •The ideas left in the bunker was imprinted in existence thus remaking some of them like SCP-173 the statue and the SCP foundation. •The creation of a new universe via artificial means creates spacial anomalies like the infinite Ikea • and the scarlet king to fill the void left by the black moon. See the black moon is weakened by being known whilst the Scarlet King is empowered by it. Edit: He can also be scp 343! He basically is god, he created the foundation in the previous universe and chose to go there to see how it's doing. The bunker empowered him so much he became a god or his victory against the blackmoon made him a god. He knows all his creations as it was recorded in the conceptual bunker except the creations of the Scarlet King as it is the universe's way of filling the void left by the darkmoon, the pale king.

Now here is a question, can the black moon, while being entirely random, only affect the one random person it has selected? And if that one random person can then be located and isolated in the Singular Conceptual Bunker that would prevent it from targetting this person, then would it be unable to move on to the next person until it had obliterated that one random person. Imagine being forced into an isolation bunker and told, "You have to live out the rest of your days in here to keep an eldrichian horror from killing anyone else."

The important thing to remember is none and all or some of the SCP-001 *proposals* are canon. Many contradict each other.
