SCP-939 are endothermic, pack-based predators which display atrophy of various systems similar to troglobitic organisms. The skins of SCP-939 are highly permeable to moisture and translucent red, owing to a compound chemically similar to hemoglobin. SCP-939 average 2.2 meters tall standing upright and weigh an average of 250 kg, though weight is highly variable.

Nah, you are totally correct. It was one of those things where I was writing the script that was obvious to me that that's what it's all about that I totally forgot to write in the line about that...... I watched the video 100's of times before publishing, had friends watch it... And somehow we all missed the part until it was pointed out in the comments🤦‍♂️

They ballsed that aspect up pretty badly in this vid; around 3:00, it states that a litter of young were born in captivity in 1992 (this is presumably the 'only' time they reproduced as stated later), and they're shown as small versions of the doglike creature we've been shown, not as human infants. Hell, they even state the gestation period is twelve months so they knew when the 'mother' got up the duff. That speaks of a pretty intimate knowledge of their reproductive process. And if the ones that were tested on had grown to their non-human stage then the Foundation should know at what point that happened, directly contradicting the later statement that it happens 'at some yet unknown point as they age'. Unless everyone at that facility just buggered off on holiday for like, five years or something and it happened during that time... However you cut it, this vid doesn't agree with itself.

This SCP actually sounds like a plant. Plants don't have digesting tracks; but they do technically have respiritory systems. Absorbing nutrients almost identically to how they breathe.

This is a pretty good explanation for why they do this. Only unlike plants, which have chlorophyll and subsist on oxygen and nutrients drawn from the soil, these guys have hemoglobin and absorb the nutrients from flesh through a multipurpose organ, regurgitating the waste once it’s been sucked dry. So they’re animals that behave like carnivorous plants.

@FROST902 YT Dr. Bright was foundation researcher exposed to an anomalous item he was responsible for the transport of during an unrelated containment breach, which he was originally killed in. Thing is, the item he was in contact with more or less copied his soul to it and now whenever someone comes in contact with it they cease all higher brain functions, while a copy of Dr. Bright's consciousness is implanted into the unlucky SOB, after 3 days of wearing the item (an amulet) Dr. Bright permanently controls that body even when the item is removed from contact with the body. Add to the fact that the amulet gains the memories of all past and current Dr. Bright instances, and Bright became an invaluable asset to the foundation. A trusted researcher with a 'cumulative' memory who could not be perma killed? That's a hell bonus for the foundation with how often researchers of the more dangerous SCPs get killed or otherwise compromised for the project.
