I'm very unorganized at the moment with many things going at once so videos have been a little slow.

I was looking forward to seeing the chook at work too. I had one who was an excellent inspector and critic of my work building astronomy instruments. Amazing empathy for task at hand and excellent eye for detail. Great friends too.

My condolences for the loss of Chook, her expert area inspection scans will be missed her video presence always made me smile. A good pet is worth more the all the gold you can pull from that eWaste. Keep up the great videos at any pace you can thanks Ben................

5:25 For you as a scrapper there is not much to it and I would agree with that, however seeing it from a maker's point of view that thing is a treasure trove of component goodness. it's nice to see a video like this Ben. EDIT: 10:00 that brownish sheet is called LE Garolite you would be amazed how much that stuff goes for even for a small sheet like that one.

Sorry for the loss of your little scrapping friend. Youll end up acquiring another. We had a pet chicken and it passed away as well. Natural causes. Old age said vet

The black-silver part at 17:30 should be a solid state relay. These are very good for own projects or bring 5-10 bucks on sale.

Don't throw away that cover for the capacitor bank (micarta) or the wafer switch on the front panel. Sell the switch to a ham radio operator. You may even be able to sell the micarta to them too. There's a semiconductor switch next to the small transformer.

The wires.do you leave them in a harness or do you seperate them

he leaves the zip ties on but he removes the steel and the plugs and it goes into mid grade insulated wire.

The chip you're after is not called a DLP. DLP is the name trademark that Texas Instruments uses for TV,s and projectors that use DLP or Digital Light Projection technology. The chip you're after is actually called a Digital Micromirror Device or DMD chip. Sorry about your pet chook. Always liked seeing her in your videos...

Caps that large and in that number can keep a charge for a surprisingly long time. It's always worth shorting them with a screw driver or the like to be on the safe side.

They're made of aluminum, I just stockpile them til I have a couple kilos then melt em down into ingots
