Scrapbook Basics: Printing Multiple Photos On One 8.5x11 Sheet Of Photo Paper

Here are the basic steps for printing multiple photos on one sheet of paper:
1. Decide on a canvas size. I picked 8.5x11 at 300 dpi because that's a standard print size here in the US and it's a size my printer easily recognizes (with the Epson XP15000 I can also print borderless).
2. Open your photos in Elements or Photoshop. I'm currently using Photos and usually drag my photos to my desktop from Photos and then drag them into Elements.
3. Use the Crop Tool to size the photos for your particular project(s). I sized a couple to 3x4 and one to 4x6 for this example.
4. Use the Move Tool to drag and drop the images onto your new canvas.
5. Print.

The Print to Size app for iPhone and iPad has been a game changer for me! So easy to size and move any photos on the size of paper you choose with a touch of your finger, it is easy to manipulate and very responsive, without the fuss. Great for me as I am not very computer savvy…highly recommend. Plus, it’s free! Thanks for the video…always helpful.

Would love to see you do a vid on taking my photos and shrinking them to make a 1/12 book (pages) 8.5x11 full of very small photos. I understand they may not be that clear, but. Thanks, Jim

Thanks I’ve just bought the Epson 15000 I’m enjoying learning with these videos as I’ve always had canon before. I’m excited about doing bigger format printing. Can you do a tutorial on how you print at the larger format A3 for Scrapbooking 12x12 or 9x12.

Ali, Thank you! Recently purchased PSE & Epson XP 15000 in preparation for WITL. When I'm printing from PSE, the photo is printing just slightly larger (1/4"). I've worked with Epson Customer support with no luck. Any suggestions on where I might be going wrong??

Check if your printer is printing full bleed. Full bleed resizes the print and slightly over prints the edge of the paper. Make sure you are printing at actual size in both Photoshop Elements and your printer settings. I hope this helps!

Thanks Ali. I use an older version of photoshop elements to print my photos. When I drag my cropped photos onto my A4 (I’m in Australia) sheet it changes the size of the photo to be as wide as the page. I have to click on the photo and resize it back down. The ratio stays the same. I am presuming that it is a simple setting that I need to fix but I can’t work out how. Do you (or anyone else) know what I’m doing wrong? Thanks again

Sorry for this late reply! To avoid the resizing, just drag your photo down onto the document, it won't come in as a smart object, but it will come in at actual size.

Yes, it's a one off purchase - $99 in the US - you can get an upgrade price if you have owned any other version of PSE.
