SCRAPPED BLACKOUT 2 MAP From Black Ops Cold War - MAP OVERVIEW 

The RU-vid Algorithm has decided to bring some new viewers to this video. So I wanted to add some additional details for those who are viewing this for the first time: *This build is dated June 2020, and was the one that was shared with Treyarch devs and their families for testing. This was publicly leaked in 2023. *Multiplayer is included in the build and includes several unfinished maps, along with placedholder perks and weapons. *Zombies is also included in this build. Die Maschine and Outbreak are both fully playable. Outbreak in this build uses the map showcased here, which results in no loading screens when traveling in between zones.

Really wished we got this instead of more warzone in 2021

I would’ve loved to be in a world where Warzone and Blackout take turns releasing every year. They’re different enough to where I think it would work, and it would create a lot less confusion I think. And it would create a lot more hype for new games

I always said summit shoulda been in cold war and now knowing it literally was in cold war makes me so sad

things i noticed while watching this 1 battery is Ruka 2 the gun names for both the Pellington and the Krig 6 are named differently ( M49 and AK5) 3 Alpine does not have the roads on each side of the ski lift and at the bottom of the ski lift there is no house to the left of it 4 Summit uses part of the bo4 version of it 5 mine looks like it used the bo3 Exavader as a base and built on top of it

I'm thinking that Summit was so detailed because Cold War was made off of the bases of BO4, you could tell HEAVILY that it used BO4 assets as place holders.

The map looks beautiful. And I love how they kept the loot system. I loved being able to build guns with attachments on the go. Blackout 1 was amazing and I still play it today

Treyarch knows how to make some good maps, man. I'm hoping one day this map sees the light of day. I'll take this over Urzikstan, Vondel, or Fortune's Keep anyday.

Awww man this makes me so sad, i was hoping for another Blackout, then to see they had done all this work only to have WZ which fails in comparison to BO as a BR IMO. I hope they use it at some point...probably not now..who knows though. Quinzel is gay

It looks like that for the final version: They took the name 'Ruka' and applied it to Battery, because Battery looks exactly like current Ruka in the live game.

Awwhhhh, duuuuude - Stadium was one of my fAvorite maps back in BO1, and we could've HAD IT?!?! BO1 had such amazing base game and DLC maps, I can't think of a single dud one. Maaaan, that's so disappointing tho

I don’t know how I haven’t seen this video earlier. Ever since I played Cold War for the first time I noticed how all the Outbreak maps were part of a larger map, and I wanted to see what that map looked like in it’s entirety. So thank you for making this video!

Activision should be in jail for how criminal this was not to release this. Treyarch used as ginny pigs for testing battle royal for infinity wards Warzone.

I always knew it! When playing Dirty Bombs i was like im sure all these maps were connected to one huge map and were we supposed to get our on CW BR. It kinda sucks knowing that it was there but im pretty sure due to the low ratings of CW they decided to shut it down and continue WZ.

Imagine they bring this map to wz2 since it has water. I bet u they would probably make the big house on golova or sanitarium a black site that’s locked lol

Blackout was actually lit man i did hate the part when they added random easy to see skins or fomo community challenges but thats what kept me playing

So originally wz1 was not supposed to succeed & cold war was gonna have it own br so them to have blackout for its br would've made sense they even had a version cold wars br called fireteam there's still a Playlist option for it but if u try to play it it'll just sit there try to find a match but never will one

The fireteam mode basically gave us the black out 2 that we wanted and it was so short lived

Maybe they will use this for BO6 Warzone, I know they are gonna add verdansk but I hope they add the outbreak maps for resurgence

I love verdansk and all trust me but they should add this map with bo6 instead this year next year for the anniversary verdansk.

That running animation for the 1911 is very similar to the strife animation from bo4

guess warzone took precedence, so they scrapped blackout 2, and reused the finished POIs for fireteam and outbreak. Would be really odd if it had started out going the other way. Wish we had gotten blackout 2 instead of more warzone.

This honestly sucks. I always preferred blackout over warzone. Especially the new warzone. This also shows me why cold wars warzone integration was so bad. They were working on this the whole time and were probably told last min that they had to scrap it for warzone.

Breaks my heart how activision gave all this support to MW and warzone and had a weird cycle skipping Treyarch in their favoring year. Blackout holds dear to me as it was my re-entry back to COD as well as my first BR and being that blackout paved the way for warzone and layed foundation for it because it competed well with PUBG, Fortnite, and H1Z1 I went through hell convincing the current players at the time how much blackout was better and how it was making a return and this is the proof i was looking for back then but sadly activision let this idea die. RIP Blackout 😢

Considering how mid Warzone was with verdansk 84 and the VG map (completely stopped playing during VG integration) I would have preferred this map, as it would be new but I hate the old engine treyarch was using back then. Shit graphics and mechanics. But I absolutely love attachment looting.

Black Out was so much better than Warzone. The only thing that sucked about Black Out was the update where they put half the fucking map underwater. That shit was poop from a butt.

Cold War should have been a standalone game. No Warzone, just Cold War. I understand the financial reason to making it part of Warzone, but c'mon

in Battery there is a missle silo place you can hed to and it has a door to get into the missles like in outbreak ee idk if you can explore it in Blackout 2

God just from the first few seconds of the gameplay I’m more upset that it all got scrapped for zombies but not even in a good way couldn’t even get the full map for zombies :(

Honestly black ops 4 had so much wasted potential that it actually still affects cod releases today. Blackouts original name was Warzone until that name was deemed unfavorable, and changed to what we know now. On top of the open world campaign we were supposed to get which we have slightly gotten with MW3, and the zombies stories that just did not get endings that would’ve redeemed their shitty start. I mean black ops 4 was literally the end of the victis and ultimus story lines, the culmination that bleed into the timeline we have with Modern warfare and Cold War. That’s not even mentioning the scrapped multiplayer story that wasn’t finished. Not everyone will agree with me, but I believe black ops 4 was only bad because it wasn’t a fully fleshed out game, we didn’t receive the full black ops 4 that was planned which I know would’ve far surpassed cods today
