Just love your top today and how it matches scrappieness is happieness, gave me a little giggle. Love your chaice for your front door block. We are entering autum after a very mild summer so think the leaves will take a while to change. With all our natives being evergreens we don't get the same total change in landscape like you do but rather random pops of colour. Blessings to you all.

Happy Birthday to your dad, Pat! You are SEW blessed to still have your parents! On your forsythia bush, trim and shape in the spring as the blooms fade. If trimmed later in the season or year, it won't bloom on the later trimmed branches the following year. I love watching you design the new front door quilt from the parts department! Such a great idea! Happy Spring!!

I love your chocolate candy fabric. It looks like it is the same fabric that my sister used to make us all bib style aprons one year for Christmas. By all of us that would be 7-10 aprons! She used that as the main fabric and then each of the aprons had a ruffle (some were pleated and some were just gathered) using other fabrics from the fabric line. I have at least two of them now and still use them. She passed away in 2013 from breast cancer so they are special memory items and when I see that fabric it brings back those sweet memories. Thanks for sharing all of your great tips. If we all followed your example we certainly would get a lot more done. Thanks for all of your much needed encouragement!

Hi Pat, I enjoyed your video today, as always your fun to watch and full of joy. Thanks for the enthusiasm for spring, because it may be beautiful and warm where you are living, but here where I am it’s still winter, with almost 2 feet of snow on our yards and snow piled up to 6 feet at the corners and I’m only in central north Ontario, about 150 miles north of Toronto, Ontario Canada. I can’t wait for the warm weather!

I use a magnetic curtain rod from Walmart. It expands to different sizes...would be perfect to enable you to hang different sizes of quilts on your front door....if it is metal.

How wonderful it is going to look. I think yellow would be the best border only because it’s Spring and the dark to me would seem gloomy not bright and sun shines. Which is what I’m needing at this time of the year.

Oh Pat! I am grandma didn't realize how old I am till now. Your Dad "Happy Birthday", and I are so close in age. And my 55 year old son still brings up one of his favorite childhood memories. I would have fresh 'long john' donuts as an after school treat for my kids and the neighborhood!! Where did all those years fly by! Get some cheap tole craft paint red paint to paint the rest of the rod and u don’t have to worry if the hanging is wide enough or not.
