Hi Pat I love the tunic you are wearing. When you asked where to get longer ones, it occurred to me how easy those are to sew. I don't know if you like to make clothes. I do both garment sewing and patchwork. It's amazing how fast you can make a new garment for yourself, and kind of a fun switch from tedious little shapes. And of course you can customize as you see fit.

Thank you for the tip of gluing the curves for piecing - I will have to try it when I get to those blocks, I am only on the 1st block at moment . I don't know how you do sewing with all the videoing, editing and social media - as you were saying what you did all day - I felt exhausted. 🤣

I buy clothes from Blair and Woman Within, just watch their clothes measurements. A medium from Women Within is like a large in stores. Anyway they have lots of tunic tops

Those Sew-Line glue sticks are the best I've ever used. Actually tossed my others which become hard and difficult to use. Highly recommend them!

Just loved the idea of using glue for curves, I was scared to try them but bought a kit with soccer fabric for a drunken path for someone special to thank them for going beyond the need, so challenged my self for the first couple of blocks I put about 20 pins and then less and less pins until about half way through was down to 3 pins so next time will do the glue. Have done another 2 quilts with curves.❤

Thank you for sharing the glue tip! I already use a glue stick for starting the sewing on a point, like half square triangles. Never thought about doing it on my Drunkards Path blocks. I just love your older primitive quilts!!! That tiger block is amazing! Wishing you a Happy sewing day today!

Sherry, thanks for asking the question about directional blocks in the March Block A Day quilt. I hadn't thought about the fact that so far I've made all of my blocks the same way with the 4-1/2" square on the top left and bottom right. Good thing I had family visiting recently which put me behind in my block making, and good thing some of my fabrics aren't directional. Today I will go through my blocks and see where I am. Pat, I love that glue pen! It's a nice pasty glue and holds well. I've only sewed curves in making clothing, like sleeves and neck lines. I like the look of the Drunkard's Path and when I get the courage to make one I'll remember your glue trick. I don't have enough hours in my day either. Last night I finished block #11 of Sweet Childhood Memories--it's so pretty.

I'm with you Pat, having trouble finding cute tunic tops. It's nice to know it's not just me. I see you got a lot of suggestions from the ladies who watch you so I'm going to look at their suggestions. On the quilting front, I'll just be cutting for a few days because I had to take "Baby" (my sewing machine) in to the hospital this week because she got sick. They tell me a week to 10 days before she'll be well. Thanks for another enjoyable start to the day. Blessings to you.

A good source for tunics is QVC. I live in a rural area and we have very few options and I have been very pleased with the quality of their clothing. Denim and CO is my favorite and they do have plenty of tunic length tops to choose from.

My mom is still addicted to tunics. There are some in the spring J. Jill flyer and I bought her some from there at Christmas. They frequently have sales too which makes them much more affordable.

I feel you switching that out, oh my I couldn’t do that! I might would have to come up with an easier way! Maybe you could pin a piece of batting or go to dollar store and get a table cloth with the felt on back and cover the Butterfly quilt when it’s another quilt blocks time to shine. Just a thought. I’ve ordered from Woman Within. But it’s for plus sized clothes. The smaller size may be ok for smaller women. I’ve been trying to buy the white vest with little cardinals on it that you have, but it was sold out!

When you fold your quilts I notice you keep the front side of the quilt on the outside. Is there a reason for that? When I fold my quilts I usually fold with the back side showing and I fold it so the label is visible. Just curious about your technique. Does it result in less creases on the quilt top,???

If i don't keep the front side out, with 800 quilts at one time, i would NEVER be able to find anything
