Nice tear down! I gave up...think I just threw the wheels in the motor pile. You make it look so easy. Will definitely tear the next one down all the way. Those are nice magnets!!
You can do it!. they do have a lot of pull on that motor. there may be a better way but that way worked for me, hope your hand is better and you can get some work done. thanks for stopping by
i found out how to remove the magnets much easier. if you use a heat gun or propane torch and carefully heat up the magnets in the hull, the glue will soften. then use the end of a claw hammer on the inside to lever the magnets out using the bearing post as a sort of leverage point. i was able to get all but 4 out as the other 4 snapped lol
Just the fact you said your wife wants to pull the copper out of those motors is awesome I tried to get my wife into scrapping but she don't show much interest lol my 2 sons on the other hand I can't keep them away they love helping me so I can't complain
I put one in my shirt pocket at work to day we had a project we were doing and the only tool I needed was an Allen wrench. so when I wasn't using it I stuck it to the out side of the pocket. they will hold a wrench that's for sure, thanks for stopping by
@@Okiescrapper we have lanterns at work used for safety equipment. These have those type of magnets. A maintenance worker dropped a full box of #8-1/2" long machine screws from a high place and they scattered no less than a 30 ft. Circle. He didnt bother to pick them up so when I came along I got a magnetic lantern and had them all pick up in record time. I got them in my garage to be with all the other stuff I won't ever use!
Stripped out my kids after i ran it over and your not lying when you say those magnets are strong lol but i was disappointed in that so called looking cooper turns out mine was aluminum
