Great video series, you have caught the essence of the older structures of Denver. I really like the details of the monster works brick, offset with the white trim, detail and weather nicely. Please do another building, i like to learn more about scratch building.
I have another scratchbuilding project in the planning stages: I need a station for my town of Creede, CO. The Chama Depot (Banta Modelworks #BSC-2098) is almost a perfect replica of the Creede station, but it overwhelms my entire (downsized) town of Creede! So I plan to build a selectively compressed station that will mimic the construction of the actual station, but at about one-half the length. I am planning to use styrene at this point, but that could change. Stay tuned.
I just watched your videos in this series of the build of this building and deck. I am a very nervous modular in this 50s just trying to get an Okills train set going. I am humbled by your videos and have learned a great deal. I hope to use those in my first few scratch buildings. Thank you for putting these videos on for us to enjoy and learn from from.
Thanks for the complement. If my videos can inspire you to attempt a scratchbuild, then I have succeeded. My goal is to demonstrate that scratchbuilding is not that difficult if you approach the project with a plan and using the right materials and a few fairly basic tools. Best of luck!
