I saw the film it was okay not amazing did not care for the big reveal… but people should have their own opinion on things I’m tired of everyone calling all this crap because I have a different opinion on stuff… I enjoy your reviews on stuff.
They can all f**ck off! Them trolls basically saying we don't like it because of neve cambell not in it lol and the loss of dewey like come on now they are ridiculous
I’ve never seen people get brutally stabbed so many times and get up and ready to go like nothing happened. That and the reveal. Totally F’ing ridiculous. Subscribed.
Scream 6 is Completely devoid of the scream DNA. Felt like a random slasher...that met fast and furious/marvel. From start to finish it felt an insult. And yes Neve is better off.
You are so right! This Scream was promoted as something “different.” That was the only reason I went to go see it. Because honestly when I heard Neve wasn’t going to be in it and me not being impressed with Scream 5 I was going to skip it. They did a excellent job at marketing the movie because they sure had me fooled. I also never seen so many people get carved up with a knife and still live!! There were kills that were far less brutal in the other movies that resulted in peoples death. Yet in this one they can get stabbed 20 times and live.
I watched the movie and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Ignoring the plot, which is hot garbage, every line and acting was so cringy I couldn't stare at the movie for more than one minute straight. The characters are so brain dead they insist in killing themselves the assassin(s) and yet they don't know how to grab a knife from someone's hand. Instead of one-shot killing the Ghostface, they ALWAYS aim to the shoulder. A scene that will always bother me is how the two sisters manage to kill 3 armed guys with two bricks and luck. Of course, the theater was full of teenagers that haven't seen a good movie in their life. As Ghostface himself said: “Fuck this Franchise”
There is so much wrong w/ this comment and it makes u come off as a hater 1. The acting was FAR from bad 2. Gale grabbed the knife and got Stabbed anyways 3. Ethan Deepthroated a Knife and was still alive 4. The only one w/ a Gun was shot by Kirby 5. Tara and Sam caught Quinn and Ethan off guard 6. R u sure ur a real fan? Bcuz I'm pretty sure it was Mindy who said "Fuck this franchise" and last time I checked she was never a Ghostface 7. Sam and Tara had a Knife, a Gun, and 2 Bricks, it wasn't just luck 8. If u wanna talk abt Luck, almost every Ghost Face is hella stupid/clumsy and has gotten completely lucky on different occasions (except MAYBE Roman but that's it) 9. Why yes it has its flaws (too many survivors, 1/3 Killers being Predictable, and Characters surviving things they shouldn't) but it is NOT a bad movie
Could not agree more. I thought I was watching a parody or a rough cut of the movie. It felt so unpolished and rushed, from the writing to the acting. It honestly felt like I was being trolled right there in the movie theater. I don't think I've ever had an experience like this. Tbh.
The movie just seemed to never end. Now characters are getting stabbed 67 times and they don't die? Really? I wanted to like it. The last two films though just seem like a bad relationship that's being dragged out too long. Let It Go.
Rotten tomatoes literally gave cuties a 86% so if that doesn’t tell you that rotten tomatoes isn’t reliable I don’t know what does. There are also a lot of good movies that have such low reviews
i want to personally thank you for your channel. You would not believe (or maybe you would) of the pushback I am getting when I simply say "This movie sucks". I feel this movie is getting to the point where it is 'cool' to say it is groundbreaking. That is what I have noticed. I point out what I don't like about it and the people attack. It is insanity.
I know these videos are going to cost me some people but I don't care. I'm tired of people like you and me getting labeled and dismissed just because our opinion doesn't match the "majority"... I'm not going to remain quiet just because fans of this film are sensitive.
What’s worse is now b/c of the box office numbers, a sequel will get greenlit and these same assholes will be in charge. Money, in this context, unfortunately makes these Hollywood-types believe what they’re doing is good. They pay little or no attention to what this franchise should truly become and are blinded by money and pandering. Only Neve Campbell can save the franchise at this point-or if Wes Craven himself rises from the dead.
Nev has signed something with radio silence and it might be for scream 7. So she may just come back. I sort of agree, but you have to remember that Nev will be here only so long before she retires sadly. Also scream 6 is making more money than any other scream filn currently and is on track to pass them in revenue without Nev. I see where your coming from though.
I saw it on opening night and was incredibly disappointed. I watched it again yesterday, knowing what to expect, and...unfortunately, while entertaining (on the level of any other slasher that isn't necessarily SCREAM) the 6th one lacks what, for me, made the first 5 so great! Everything is on the surface, there is fun yes but, unlike the previous ones, though despite a lot of elements to be able to do so, never goes deep into the scenario/story. For me a SCREAM with a boilerplate scenario is not what made me a fan of these movies. Maybe i am getting old, or it is because i am not in the ''cool'' generation anymore, but that's my opinion.
The Destruction of a Classic Franchise To think we'd actually even care about Characters like Sam or Tara is laughable These new movies got Scream wrong in a bad way, Totally undeserving of the praise the bought & paid shills on RT are giving it Soulless Trash! Shut it down! Keeping calling this sad sh!t out Joe 🙌🏻🙌🏻🚨🚨
Also remember that these films appear to be for newer scream fans and not older ones. As much as you hate it, it is gettinf better reviews than most scream films did. Not that its good, just that you cant do anything about this since these new franchises are built for different people now. This isnt the only franchise I have seen this happen to. I did still enjoy the film and so did the majority. There are story and review issues definetly though.
Can anyone agree that the killers in the past 3 movies are weak and unbelievable. They are short and not strong and could be out muscled. Just not realistic as a killer. For 3 movies. I agree with you way too many people survived.
I mean, I'll watch it. But none of them will ever compare to the first movie. Matthew Lillard's performance is literally the highlight of the entire franchise. 😂🤘
Never stop being authentic and brutally honest man. If people are sad enough to actually get upset over a difference of opinion then that says more about their fragile ego than it does about your taste in movies. Keep up the great work mate! 👍
Some of these critics are on crack, there's nothing logical about a person surviving multiple life threaning stab and gunshot wounds and running away from the killer instead of jumping him or her or grabing their weapons after knocking him or her to the ground.
That’s actually so legit in the room scene as much as I like the ladder scene THEY COULD HAVR LEGIT JUMPED HIM OR BLOCKED THE ROOM WITH THE WHOLE ASS BED THAT WAS THERE LIKE WTF
@@dvarrio8680 I’m so pissed that guy deleted his comment I seen too late 😭 cuz no Tara got stabbed like a fucking pin cushion TWICE like come on now you can prob survive but to be laughing like nothing happened ? While your literally gushing blood ? Tf lmao come on now
Well, what can I say except I agree. This one throws so many ridiculous red herrings at the audience that, at times, it felt more like a fish market than a film. And at the very least, I wish this one connected with 5 in a way that explained how a 5.3 slight build young woman lifted Dewey of the ground. I kind of expected a third as yet unmasked villain to emerge as it seemed like a pretty big leap that tweedle dee and tweedle dum pulled everything off... but I guess this one gives us the Von Trapps instead.
Good point. If it was revealed one of 6's Ghostfaces was active since 5, it could have fixed some of that film. The most ridiculous part of 5 for me is exactly that. But I add that that wasn't Dewey. They messed up the character before killing him. Last appearance of Dewey for me was in 4.
What you said about Neve was spot on! They keep trying to say, she doesn’t matter, the movie is great without her. Yet, she helped build this franchise. Fans loved her, connected with her, and in all of the movies, she was a bada**. And, her name is brought up a lot! Scream would not be as big today without Wes, Neve, Skeet, Matthew, and all the others who created something original. When scream out, it was huge. People really underestimate how big in pop culture it became. How committed the fans were. Yes, new faces, plots, ideas, are all welcome. But… forgetting what made the franchise, and why it was able to have the strong fan base as it did…which led 5 & 6 being able to perform well at the box office, is unacceptable to me.
It seems the worst the movie is, the better it goes at the box office now. And when this happens, the creators feel they can just do whatever bs that comes to mind next. No need to worry about the quality since they'll get a lot of money anyway. It's a bit frustrating.
The charm is gone , scream only works with the charm it had when Kevin Williamson wrote the story. I don't hate it but it's missing the classic atmosphere.
I wish he would get his ass back in the writing chair and pen the next damn Scream film, he’s lazily relying on a producer credit which prob pays more than what he got writing the first films.
Listen if someone legitimately likes this movie as a fan and has a great time with it. I'm happy for them.... But they can't expect everyone to feel the same way. If you consider yourself a critic than you have to carry yourself like one. Which means to not always think like a fan.
Is this new generation hyping things up because that’s all they know. The original will always be the best think about it I was a kid in the 90s there were no cell phones it was a scary movie for that time if you dint live in the 90s again no gps no cell phone fb,tik tok no way of being tracked only one phone line it was scary to imagine someone calling you was watching and stalking you
They’ve should’ve left the original cast and connection to the originals out of this new rebooted bullshit entirely. This way we’d just get horrible scream films, and no connection to Wes and co.
When movie has main characters surviving vital stabbings and gunshots because it's afraid to kill off main characters it's just terrible. You're basically going hey thst person will be okay even though they got massacre with knife and then shot. Scream should have ended with 2 or 3
They need to make a "Scream" movie where they "emphasize" a victims attempt to get away ! But ultimately die , but not just die , but die in the most "brutal" way !
Thank you for this video. It feels like you get trashed if you point out obvious flaws in a movie while everyone else seems to be kissing a** to be in the majority. Mindy was beyond annoying in this. Stop trying to be Randy! It was the first time that a main character got stabbed by Ghostface and I said “Yes!” That’s not good.
You'd be surprised how many people I see still using it like a badge of honor or as a gauge as to whether or not they will watch something, RT has destroyed the film industry
The move irked my nerves... The dialog was corny and goofy!!! The girl for the past 2 movies kept tryna be a " Who done it Scooby-Doo ass characters character" in 5 and 6 is RIDICULOUS!!! I'm no film writer AT ALL, but her and the her brother (in the movie who done got POKED UP 30000 TIMES) in the movie GOTTA GO!!! But again, the dialog is TERRIBLE!!! But what do I know, I'm just watching this shit get wayyyyyy worse than what it used to be.🙄🤷🏾♂️
@@REELSHIFT Probably he lied all the way about his past. They could've bond over his "family issues". For me story ends at Scream 4. All this right now is a mess.
I just watched it, I'm late, but my god, people really hyped this movie and it was awful. They did my girl Gale so dirty, they completely removed her entire arch and character development and turned her back into the tactless b***h from Scream 1, the new characters are terrible, especially Mindy, she is still trying WAY too hard and is so grating. She's way too campy when the rest of the movie is made to be much more try hard and edgy, like Stu worked in the context and tone of the OG, she feels like she came from a different movie. They literally rehashed kills, no one dies basically even getting fully gutted, they're just running around in minutes like they stubbed their toe. The Billy thing is still dumb, especially since this girl is still not the killer so now she can't be in the future because it's laid on WAY too thick. And the reveal... I have no words, it could not have been more obvious and also dumb. I fully called Quinn wasn't dead and that other guy was one of the killers since before the apartment scene. It's weird, it was so obvious who was there to die and who was gonna have plot armor. I'm so disappointed in people that this got so much hype. It's Skinamarink all over again for me.
Crazy that even Kevin Williamson the creator of Scream gave 5 and 6 seals of approval and they both aren’t on the same level as the original 3 hell even 4.
People who like these last 2 Scream 'films' aren't true Scream fans or have any idea about film in general. These new characters are terrible. Jenna Ortega (I know everyone has a crush on her so she will always be defended) actually can act. I thought the opening scene with her in Scream 5 was pretty good she gives a solid performance. But she falls flat a lot in Scream 6 but her character is written to just be all over the place...ALSO SCREAM 6 is not a Scream movie. Scream 5 gets a pass only because of Campbell, Arquette, Ulrich, Cox and they used the Nostalgia gimmick from Scream 1996. Now for the twins all I can say is LOL AWFUL. They died in 6 and Cuba Gooding's son died in the 5th one too. And then there's the 'lead' actress she's awful and the character is as well. I have a ton to say about all of this litteral garbage. Other obvious problems with 6 is underutilization of NYC and Halloween...epic fail. Panettiere is done dirty in this. I understand she's had personal issues/struggles and had been away from acting for years so I will give her a pass as this gives her an opportunity to get back into the business. Mulroney who was a leading man years ago clearly just did this because he faded away. He's even quoted talking about being in the cool crowd now because of this 'film'...so for the Killers, just like in Scream 5 they made it so obvious with a little comment. Dennis Quaid's son says something in like his first scene of 5 and you're like that's one of the killers lol. They did it in 6 when the roomate says my dads a cop and my brother died. Riiiight like that wasn't obvious at all and 'killing her' basically off screen (which they did this same 'fake out' already in a previous Scream film). Then Mulroney's awful 'crying' scene for 5 seconds then the rest of the movie he has no emotion that his daugher was just murdered lol. They really don't give you a chance with the 3rd killer as he is just the butt of all the 'jokes'. He plays no part to the story but he actually gives one of the better performances though there isnt any competition. Gale Weathers has nothing to do with this film. I wish she just went off into the sunset with Campbell. The lead 'actress' love interest was another LOL and cringe moment and then forcing Ortega and Gooding a romance story (probably because of Ortega's star status and it being the son of Cuba Gooding)...cringe.The music is awful, we get a few seconds of original Scream music then its all just garbage, they had enough money to pay Demi Lovato to be a part of this and even do a music video for this 'film' but couldn't pay Campbell...we all know they will bring back Matthew Lillard for this next one. WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IS THE ORIGINAL SCREAM TEAM NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT BACK. Unfortuntely Craven is long passed on but Williamson is still here as well as Marco Beltrami and if they want to get super meta about it why not bring in John Carpenter but they would never pay him. They have killed off good characters throughout this series but they can't kill off any of these new 4 'actors', they should've made Ortega the killer in the last one but it's a business and making her a killer in the last one means less box office money for 'films' going forward...can they also just switch it up and have a Ghostface survive? I could go on...lol. Here's my positives for the bandwagon newbies. Hugo Weaving's daughter is a good actress. They unmasked Ghostface in the opening but it was laughable seeing who actually just killed Weaving. NYC setting but underutilized it. And around Halloween but underutilized it. I did like the nostalgia warehouse but only for nostalgia purposes. Otherwise it's just a huge hint hint hint who's the mastermind. But so many plot holes, crappy writting, storylines, etc. lol
I enjoyed the movie, but I totally understand why a lot of legacy fans feel it was too derivative. I think the series is now trying to dig itself out of needing to reference the previous movies. Hoping the next one will feel more original.
Exactly Raya! It feels like they simultaneously wanted to play it safe but also tell us to forget about the past. Sending conflicting messages if that makes sense
I have had to come to terms that I need much more to stimulate my brain than the average movie goer. I truly believe that most people don't understand the concept of the Scream franchise, which is why 6 is being praised. It's a fun "slasher/who done it" film. The problem is, that's not what a Scream movie is supposed to be. Scream is a smart meta franchise that utilizes the characters as mouth pieces to talk directly to the audience without it being obvious. You know, like south park or Clerk's. It's not breaking the 4th like Deadpool but it's still self aware of its universe. Scream 6 totally throws that out the window and hand feeds the audience like dumb birds. The action and over the top gore was fine but the smart writing just wasn't there. I left the theater feeling the same way I did after Jurassic world. Very similar writing style. Some of these things I just said are an opinion but most of it is a fact.
I stopped at scream 3 , never been a fan, no wonder anything new is crap tho , I mean I'd be shocked it it wasn't, as for rotten tomatoes, audience scores used to be something to go by ,but over the last few years most of audience scores are as bad as the so called critics'.
I think the typical scream fan base.......don't get triggered..........have low demands in movies. They just want cheap meat thrown to them (ie Ghostface doing Ghostface things. ) They "WANT" to like it. They downplay the negative, up play the decent. I only watched the first scream. And now VI. As a slasher horror movie, it was garbage and insulting my intelligence. All blamed on writing of story.
Great point. Since 5 I've seen a lot of praise to "Ghostface is more brutal now" and little aknowledgement of the plot's problems, uncharacteristic character behaviors or the ocasional bad acting. I guess to the average fan as long as there's someone in Ghostface costume and some violent killings, it's all good.
@@REELSHIFT The movie did what typical Hollywood releases do these days and had subliminal degenerate propaganda and a soft anti-white message (hurr hurr white guy died a virgin and CHAD black man lived through stabbings that is impossible to live through), pathetic to say the least.
My favorite Scream VI review comes from Empire: "It’s tough to carry on after losing your heart. Scream VI is the first without original survivor Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), who was the core of the series for 26 years. In many ways this film feels her loss, but new franchise guardians Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett conjure up enough inventive kills and clever ideas to convince that Scream could, like many horror sagas, have a life beyond its foundational cast. It doesn’t entirely convince that it should, but it makes a case for how it could." -- "The murders in Craven’s films were part of a master plan, little missions to be completed to make the final monologue add up."-- "When it’s not slashing, it’s less sure what to do with itself. Barrera and Ortega are hugely likeable as the new central characters, but the film overcooks its attempt to make them matter."
This review reads like it's someone who wants to say what they really feel: That it doesn't work... But is desperately trying to sidestep talking about what's actually wrong with it. I don't understand how we got to this point infilm criticism where we can't just say what's on our mind.
@@REELSHIFT Exactly.. this particular review highlights the biggest issues i had with Scream VI. The so-called "core 4" felt forced to me, the kills were brutal ok i give them that but with no impact and the abomination that was the 3rd act. And i'm sorry but how can they give us a shrine with all the history of Scream and it's all about Sam... Imagine Sidney be in it. This scene with the shrine would have a huge impact. Love your videos by the way!!
Like I said before, RT is just total bullshit at this point. A lot of critics don’t even seen to know what a good movie is. They’ll rank garbage high, and masterpieces low. The argument of how people are saying we’re mad that Neve isn’t in it reminds me of how people once said that people who thought Tobey Maguire was the best Spider-Man were just “blinded by nostalgia,” a that’s why they didn’t accept the new guys as the best. The “fear of trying something new” is also a bullshit argument, too. Joker was different than any other comic movie I’ve ever seen, and I loved it. Another reason I feel like this movie is getting overhyped is because Jenna is in it. I have absolutely nothing against her, she’s a good actress, but I guarantee, if she wasn’t in it, this movie wouldn’t be nearly as relevant.
@Villainy Outsider she didn't die they know better than that since they screwed all us orginal fans over by killing off dewey that made everyone mad at them
@Villainy Outsider that's what I'm saying they shouldn't of killed him off at all that was such bullshit honestly to screw over the fandom like that and crap on the orginal and to die that way by a female like a small girl come on now wth
@Villainy Outsider to me it makes me think they are shitting on the orginal characters and fans by doing that to gale I mean come on and kirby they did that to as well it was so stupid also how can Chad survive all them stab wounds so weird
My idea is that most people that are not really horror watchers, enthusiasts, fans are the ones writing reviews for these movies lmao Because when I read the reviews for Scream 6 after watching it, I thought that the reviewer was a casual watcher and not a horror fan that wants more out of the genre and expects a higher quality piece of work (story, deaths, etc). Anyways, great video and appreciate your honesty! Little rant. I will never understand why there are offscreen deaths, especially in a movie like this. There are one or two in Scream 6 and for a horror "slasher" type movie, it's just pointless not showing some deaths but showing others lmao. Just my opinion though.
The acting by the detective guy for the last 30 mins or so was awful, trying to pull the physco cop thing didn’t work at all due to weak over the top acting, also the movie on the whole was absolutely average at best, glaring reviews for this movie make no sense to me.
Haven’t seen this yet but great that you gained traction with this and huge respect to you giving a shout out to people who respectfully disagree. It’s great to like different things and you’ve been a voice of reason and respect when on the (admittedly rare) time when I would be standing on the other side of the line. Keep it up and the road to 4k is getting shorter 💪
I have no interest in watching this. I hated the 5th film and I wasted my time and money seeing it in theaters. The series should have ended with the 3rd film. I did love the first two seasons of the tv series. It was different and it worked. These new characters in these films are boring! I understand having new characters take over and stuff. Have actors and characters who can keep your attention. Leave out the legacy characters. I’m done with the Scream series. It’s obvious that this new film is a remake of “Scream 2” just as much as “Jurassic World Fallen kingdom” is a remake of “The Lost World Jurassic Park “. Yes they’re out of ideas.
@@christinawitzka4855 He didn't he wrote the original Scream and outlines for 2 and 3 and sold it to Dimension Films! After 35 years he can get the rights back!
Rotten tomatos is always garbage when it comes movies. The movies with lower tomato scores are the movies I usually like more then the ones with the "fresh" score lmao
Me too. Ofcourse people will say we are doing that on purpose just to be different or edgy. No we just like what we like and don't base our opinions on what the majority says.
Wish people would stop calling it flawless. I enjoyed the movie a lot, while noticing the flaws. The rabid toxicity is more offensive to me than anything
I thought it was significantly better than 5. Better acting, better writing, better everything really. Not to mention one of the best opening scenes in the franchise. The reveal wasn’t great but not the worst either. I did enjoy 5’s reveal better. I’d give it a 7/10.
That's fair! I totally get where you are coming from. I think Scream 6 just frustrated me more than anything. The potential was there to really do something to reignite my love of the franchise... Unfortunately it just made me feel worse. It left me speechless in all the wrong ways.
@@REELSHIFT I watched it a second time today and enjoyed it more. It wasn’t perfect but I have a love for every entry. Even the 3rd one I find a lot of love for. While these last 2 don’t quite have that Williamson touch, I feel they’re making good entries into the series. I’m interested to see where they take it.
Hey new subscriber here and man smh I have to say I FUCKING LOVE YOUR TAKE ON MOVIES SPECIALLY SCREAM because being the fan I am since I was 8 years old I’m 32 now this wasn’t the best Scream movie I literally said in the theater OUT LOUD that this is an enhanced Scream 2 smh…so happy you popped on my yt so yea I love the video love your opinion on my favorite horror franchise…I can go on about this but I won’t make the comment to long lol
It was strong in some scenes but weak in others. It's baffling to me that you have the movie set in new York and still manage to mess it up. I honestly think that there should have been a death in a phone booth or something to really set the New york vibe. Also, there needed to be A LOT more characters to round out the suspects, considering the fact that there were 3 ghostfaces. I believe that the reason why there weren't that many people in the friend group, is because of rushed script writing. I refuse to believe that the team actually cared about making enough characters to round out the suspect because they wanted to get straight to filming. I hope that for Scream 7, they take their time to make decent characters and gory kills. Also have chase scenes that use the London setting and have a scene in a phone booth! As for scream 6, I believe that Anika should've lived, and Mindy should've died on the ladder. It would have made Anika seem like an actual person, and not just another kill. It would also mirror scream 2 with randy dying. There's also too many legacy characters/ survivors. This means that in the enxt movie, they are most likely going to have a previous survivor be the opening kill. I'm looking forward to an opening kill in a christmas store like fear streets opening. I also think that Quinn should've had a fakeout nearing the end of the movie in the finale, because nearing the end, there were close to no characters to round out the suspects. Yes there were more kills in this movie, but most of them were just side characters/ nothing characters. Gales boyfriend also only had 2 lines and immediately got killed. Terrible movie in my opinion.
I thought it was slightly better than 5 personally but I respect your opinion dude, 5 alienated me especially since how much Deweys death pissed me off so bad but these last two films got nothing on Cravens four films.
@@REELSHIFT i can understand that, a lot of stupid stuff in it just 5 was more insulting to me personally disposing Dewey like that and the fact Amber of all ppl was the one who did him in after all the shit he went through in 1-4 i’ll never get over that he deserved better.
I was upset they killed Dewey too the man survived so much & then had I think he said he had nerve damage. I like scream 5 for the Ghostface kills that was about it.
SCREAM VI was amazing. It's just a lot of the people who got stabbed, WOULD NOT and SHOULD NOT still be alive in this series. Anika(Mindy's girlfriend)NEVER would have survived that knife to the gut, that then got twisted upside down so the blade was facing UP, and dragged up to her sternum. She NEVER would have made it to the ladder. Mindy would be dead from getting stabbed in the gut, and Quinn should have just slit her throat with her hand over her mouth. Chad was stabbed into Swiss cheese. He would NOT HAVE survived that. And last but not least, TARA, super popular Jenna Ortega of Netflix's WEDNESDAY series, WOULD NOT have survived that stab into her back, NOR the one Ethan gave her to the gut when she fell down onto him. So the CORE FOUR, should be down to ONE. But this movie DID have the goriest kills and the greatest opening to a SCREAM film.
@@chrisdee1583 It's still amazing, even if the writers gave the characters plot armor. That's the only thing it's faulted for. I agree, it's absolute bullshit that these characters survived. But that still doesn't detract from the movie being great. They should have followed through, yes. Gale definitely should have died too.
Somewhat off topic but How about in Scream 5 I think it was when Homeboy pulls out a 12 foot ladder out of his apartment window to save everyone from Ghostface? Like Cm on REALLY? No one has a 12 foot ladder laying around that Size in thier Apt. Literally NO ONE.
It’s the writers (my opinion). It’s not ALL bad, but they have their center focus and then lose all sense of everything surrounding it. For example: S5 is about the sisters primarily, so everyone else doesn’t really get a good character arc! Look at Judy in S4 and then how they handle her character arc in S5 …her personality is completely different! She was wacky, funny, and more light-hearted in S4 and then in S5 she was essentially just there to be killed. And the way they have these little-kids killing these full-grown adults! We’re supposed to believe that Amber did that to Dewey? Easy fix (they could of made Amber show up at the hospital to where Richie was GF at the hospital); in S6 were supposed to believe Quinn picked up a grown man and tossed him around like he was a paper airplane (Gale’s scene) …it’s insane! But, then again, it’s a movie! That’s why I’ll always say the first 3 are the best three! In my opinion. Now, did S5 and S6 look cool - yes! I love NYC as a backdrop! The movie wasn’t bad, but just not as believable after the reveal. The father wasn’t bad, but the kids were looney tunes.
The core four sucked. It was rushed and cringe. Like seriously, Mindy got stabbed in a vital area and still alive. Chad was stabbed by two ghostface killers and is still alive. The killers appear to be very strong and when they reveal themselves, it's laughable. Kirby's return was a disappointment. The chase scenes were good, but the writing was weak.
I love movies…born and raised in the last 2 great decades “80’s & 90’s”,the past 10 years has given way to mediocre film making 🤷🏽 I subbed btw you’re spot on 👍🏽
Yo REEL they should’ve stop at the third one like a trilogy And scream franchises is just like the Star Wars franchises There is no more story to tell about
@Luis I already did a whole review of my own statements dip shit. Also! Clearly you are missing the context in which I make videos like this... But from the sounds of it you don't have the mental capacity to process my reasoning so we'll just move our separate ways.
I’m just an average scream fan however even i know this movie along with 5 aren’t even remotely close to the best of the series scream 4 was enjoyable however what really bugs me is the dig that these movies takes at fans and the fandom these hollyweirdos need to take a chill pill and take the Henry Cavil approach and you know what the sad part is i went to see this movie mostly to see samara weaving I’ve been a fan of hers since ready or not also your right the plot armor in this movie is ridiculous as well as these terminator “teens” 😂
I feel people are too picky now a day. I have not seen the movie yet; however, ultimately everything is subject to preference and matter of opinion. I personally have enjoyed all of the movies and feel none of them are that bad.
@@TheBrisco1234 I grew up on this movie too. I get some of the complaints but I don’t think the newer ones are that bad either. All and all, someone else’s opinion is their own but just like nowadays some movies lack originality. I feel nowadays people nitpick every little thing and just don’t give things a chance.
@Villainy Outsider I was referring to this. A girl got stabbed by her friends 19 times and still survived, the friends thought Slender Man was real and wanted to please him ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XQZzJpRWFCY.html
Personally I found 5 to be the worst w the amber zombie moment and the multiple god awful things like Dewey dies in the hospital but they're wheeling him out, or the sheriff turning her sirens off at her house and nobody in the neighborhood hears cop sirens? 6 had its moments too but I felt the new chars we're more insufferable in 5.
While I do not share your feelings on Scream 6 I do agree that differing opinions often times create some of the best conversations. We’re not going to agree on everything and can definitely learn from one another. Appreciate the content.
I don't listen to rotten tomatoes because they have given really low scores to really good movies. It's all opinion and everyone has their own (good or bad). I prefer to judge for myself.
i’m about to say something very controversial. But scream 6 was genuinely one of the best films i’ve ever watched. it was everything i loved and now my favourite scream
@@steroe7965 I’ve seen plenty. But Ste you look way to old to need to learn what a taste is so let me educate you so this won’t be an issue for you in the future. I have certain things in movies that i want. My tastes and scream 6 had everything that was part of my taste. that’s why it’s one of the best films i’ve watched. we all have a criteria of things that we like in certain movies. Glad to educate someone today every days a learning day but especially for you
@@LanaDelReySupremacy I'm sorry but scream 6 is absolutely forgettable. The original Scream is one of my favourite movies, of any genre. These last two sequels do not compare. They're made for morons, the actors Sam and Tara are completely forgettable along with Chad and Mindy. The 3rd act and killer reveal, don't get me started. If this generic slasher that will not hold up in ten years time, is genuinely one of the greatest movies you have ever seen, then you need to see more movies. Ps I'm only 38 cheeky!
@@steroe7965 It will hold up it’s amazing. And that’s ur opinion i can’t tell u that how u feel about the movie is wrong. Just like you can’t tell me so idk why ur trying. and as i’ve said i’ve watched many many movies Too many actually and scream 6 does everything i like in a film i don’t really understand what’s you’re finding so hard to grasp about that
It's because of things like this and the media that people have a naturally contrarian mindset nowadays That being said I think having a naturally contrary and mindset to paid stooges is healthy These people are so politically and personally motivated I don't think they could give a bias review on something Even with all of the time and resources to put together the best possible reviews They come off like unoriginal sound bites
I'm agree. Folks who just troll just to do just that Troll. A waste of time. Of all the films you have reviewed negative and positive and most of the time.. most. I agree with you. Even when I don't you don't act like a dick. And that right there is the difference. Film critiques are imo meant to invigorate the film experience. Even if you don't agree. Just wanted to point that out. Thanks for your content.
Some dude just told me all I do is respond with ignorant comments to people who don't agree with me. In reality I only respond that way when I'm presented with ignorance over a movie opinion. I appreciate all your support 🙏🏼
But ,but ,but Rotten Tomatoes said lol! When i see that RT actually agrees with me on something I like, I question myself and my choices of movies! Then i have to rewatch those movies to make sure I'm not a shill jackass myself! Rotten Tomatoes and metacritic ruined their reputation with Captain Marvel! Also channels like Jo-blo, Colider, and John (where's Toby Maguires dick) Campea were praising Ends and Thor last year until their worst of lists came out and Ends and Thor was on several shill YT channels as their worst! Jo-blo gave Thor a 9/10 and Ends a 8/10 just to slaughter them after the check cleared and opening weekend was over and they needed to fill their worst of lists! Oh Jo-Blo gave The first 3 episodes of Obi-Wan a 10/10...I asked when they would review the whole show the answer I got was no answer! Cheers!
Anyone who gives Obi-Wan a 10/10 either needs their head examined or is completely blinded by Nostalgia. Or both... How TF anyone praised Thor is beyond me as well. One of the worst things I've ever seen.
This movie is pretty good. But nothing will match the original. I've always been a scream This movie isn't the worst in the franchise I give that to 3. 5 was alright and I hold the first and second on a different level from the others.
I don’t know if anyone seen it but the officer run up with a loaded gun instead of just shooting her at the end I was done with the movie. I think folks just like the ideas that’s set in the movie instead.
We totally got off on the wrong foot bro. Scream VI certainly has flaws. I think some characters should have died after being gutted repeatedly. I respect your opinion though. The OG is still the best scream, hands down. Scream paved the way for so many slasher films, and revived the slasher genre. I did enjoy Scream VI. It's my second favorite in the franchise. I too, disagree with most critics when it comes to some films. But with this one, I really really enjoyed it. But you didn't like it, and that's cool. You don't have to justify your opinion to anyone. Oh, and I wasn't trying to dismiss your opinion. Your opinion is just as valid as mine. I didn't mean for it to come off that way.
I appreciate you saying so and just to be clear this is not all about you. I've been hearing these things since I started reviewing movies. I have to admit it wears on me and i get tired of hearing it because I'm very passionate about what I do and yes I don't feel like I should have to explain myself to anyone. I respect your opinion and I hope to talk about films with you in the future.
@@REELSHIFT everyone has haters. Don't let that get to you. I wasn't trying to hate on your opinion. You're more than entitled to like or dislike a movie. I'm sure we can at least agree that the OG scream is still the best one. Lol
@@REELSHIFT I just subscribed to you. I'll still comment my own opinions, but I'll do it respectfully, without discrediting yours. I won't hate if I disagree. I'm a huge movie buff, and I don't even agree with every review some of my favorite critics put out. If you watch Jeremy jahns or Chris stuckmann, I don't agree with all of their opinions either, and those are some of my favorite critics.
