I like how it went from lighthearted to horror then back to lighthearted again. Also fitting chosing Dash the iconic "lesbian" (i mean shes literally rainbows) as prey for a lesbian couple.
The ending is a mix of disturbing, yet kinda cute as you can tell how much Octavia and Vinyl love each other. I'd love more of this story. Perhaps seeing more of their relationship, and how it came to be.
i'm calling it now: this video is a joke about how similar lost's voices for rd and vinyl are!! vinyl's gonna be some kinda Frankenstein sewn together from pieces of ponies. and octavia's gonna give her rainbow's voice box by cutting her neck open. which is why the thumbnail shows strings around rd's neck. octavia killing ponies with strings kinda reminds me of "puppet to her fame" and "blood on my bow"
Seems like you came from that one about Pinkie Pie and RD and the jigsaw puzzle shaped cutie mark. I'm withholding my tongue and find out later like "Want" story with DT and SS.
I dunno why but i just like the sharp turn to Horror of Rainbow getting mutilated by losing her eyes and voicebox then immediately to some Vinyl x Octavia romance/fluff.
Very interesting on the take that Rainbow Dash and Vinyl having the same eye color and the fact that well Lost narrates both Rainbow Dash and Vinyl. I love the dark twisted tone of the whole thing. Amazing work, Magpie, Lost and even Scribbler!
Oh wow, this fic is truly masterful. The ending is horrifying, but it also gave me this sick sense of….happiness? I felt weirdly happy for them and their domestic bliss despite the fact they joke so casually about the atrocity they just did. It’s a very strange feeling knowing they did something so horrible and yet still feeling some type of joy watching that ending scene. Idk if that was purposeful, maybe I’m just weird, but it added to the story for me. Wonderful job you and Mag!

Well, that would explain a lot right now! Fandom Vinyl and Rainbow sound alike. This explains their uncanny similarities. Also, I guess Vinyl is a confirmed demon.

Vinyl was not a bad pony. Well if pony is a word you could use on someone like her, or more something. She had remembered every single name who was there that night she was torn apart. The first thing she remembered was how cold the world was The second, was the realization she had been called from her quiet and peaceful slumber. And the awful disgusting third, was there was more than one summoner that night, usually other creatures only summoned things like her when they had a selfish, yet shameful deal they would like fulfilled without notice. She was only a small cambion when the three younger looking ponies called to her. She remembered them so well.One was a pure white unicorn filly who had the most beautiful of fur, the second was a light shaded purple Pegasus colt with an interesting mane color, and most notable had a marking of three rain drops, the third was a cyan winged filly with the reddest eyes Vinyl had ever seen. Vinyl felt their gazes on her small, dark and fluid form,she wished she was back in her slumber where the cyan filly wouldn't burn her gaze into her shaded and waving outline. The colt spoke first, he sounded nervous as he looked up to the cyan filly, "Are you sure this is a good idea Rainbow?It doesn't look like the same one who stole your friends-" The cyan filly, "Rainbow" snapped back seeming annoyed "Look,Serenity all I know is one day Rose luck had a horn and the next she didn't! She said one of these monsters took it from her!" one of those glowing cyan hooves pointed at her in accusation and she felt the need to break the summon and go back to her warm and safe habitat. The white filly unicorn spoke, her voice being tinted in a different dialect than "Rainbow" and "Serenity" "Rainbow is right!Poor Rose can't even hold a sewing needle now!" Her purple swirled mane didn't hide the anger and spite when she turned back to vinyl. Even serenity looked back at her, his eyes filling with hate "Rarity, your right! Lets get this demon a lesson it won't ever forget!" Vinyl did not remember much after that, only the pain each lash gave her, she attempted to beg for mercy, but her native tongue was not comprehensible on her attackers ears. Vinyl was too weak to go back to her place of slumber, too weak to move, she thought if it were possible, she would be dead. They had been gone for hours when some pony had found her. The same pony, as to why she would earn her revenge and the reason Vinyl had chosen to stay, her love, Octavia
I thought it would be similar to the black and white French movie "The Eyes without a face" judging by the description but this went HP Lovecraft with a bit of Italian filmmaker Dario Argento. And ya know, I LOVED IT!!!

Words cannot describe the beauty of this Piece of work, it’s simply perfect in all ways imaginable.. though I’m no critic and although this is just another opinion thrown in with the many others. I just wanted to express my feels for I couldn’t just bottle them up and walk away without saying anything. Oh and how could I forget about the perfect narrative? The way you made her express pain was beautiful, It sounded as if she was choking on her own blood as they were ripped to shreds. And the wonderful little love story it was made out in the end. Absolutely perfect! What more could I say?
Did I leave the mlp fandom years ago? Yes Am I going to listen to this because it’s Halloween weekend and some of these are scarier than modern horror? Also yes

Must say, despite Vinyl maybe or maybe not being an otherworldly lovecraftian horror, shes a real sweetheart, of commitment and sheer ducking will! Also kinda supportive in a way Dashie was able to help out, maybe could be a little less judgmental, but very loyal gotta say! Im sure she's fine, probably... but still rocking out with some new friends, again probably. Must say, this really is really scratching my heart! In a lovely bloody way I'll say!

it's great tavi finished building vinyl, but how long until the other bearers get sus of rd disappearing and learn vinyl's house is rainbow's last known location. octavia and vinyl might've killed one of the strongest bearers, but twi's one of the strongest unicorns on the planet, they definitley shouldn't get on her bad side by murdering one of her ride-or-die bffs

Vinyl and Octavia better have an escape plan. Good chance Rainbow def would’ve told her friends about her going to see the popular musician mares and guards will be ready to first interrogate them about what happened to her.
