Nice, I’ve not even got to heat pressing stage yet due to researching what I need first but I think the water based ink is best as I feel customers like the quality of ink embedded into the garment. Great videos.

So when using water based inks, how do you make black ink lighter, and white ink lighter looking?

Great video man this really cleared a lot of things up for me! I just had a couple questions regarding plastisol ink. So the hoodie I use for my brand is 80/20 cotton/poly. Do you think I would be better to use low bleed ink or a poly ink? Also, you recommend getting two separate screens with different mesh counts if I'm also working with 100% cotton garments and cotton ink, or could I get away with just getting one for now? Thanks!

for the 80/20, low bleed should be fine just keep an eye on it. The amount of screens is dependent on the art your printing vs the material.

I'm printing simple 1 -2 color logos on used fire hose, low thread count cotton / canvas. These are for dog toys. What do you suggest ink wise that will last and be safe in case ingested. Now there's a question for you that you don't get often... what inks can my dog eat?

i had my first print today , i just started , very slowly , trying to get to know everything there is i need to know , bought what i could and made what i could thanks to my dad doing his best to support me , made a screen , tested the emulsion and found the result i was looking for , until i got to the printing part , tried my hands on a one color page with a lot of detail just to see if the screen was right and the mesh i used was good enough , everything was a success until i got to the ink , i bought plastisol inks , tried the black , i didn't know it would smell that rubbery , but i didn't bother with the smell , however my problem is how heavy it was , too thick and very high viscosity , the print was alright , my first try after all , but i didn't expect the ink to be that heavy , is it normal ? or is there something am missing ?

could you push the ink through the screen? if yes, its okay. u need to stir the ink a few minutes before printing, so it will be thinner. also, sometimes you need a paint thinner, and thin the ink. but be careful, it can make your ink less efficiant
@specta4154
@specta4154 2 года назад
@@milan9340 it did go through, the print was okay, and i already bought some paint thinner and used it, seems to be better for the moment, still have not tried it

@@specta4154 its fine, thin it until its running, and looks like in the videos:D but be careful, dont overdo it.
