This lcd screen flashes on and off, in this video I show you how to troubleshoot and make the repair. If you attempt this repair please ensure the mains are disconnected and be aware that the bigger capacitors retain a charge even without mains. For more info please visit the site.

I have a Philips Brilliance 220SW model & after replacing 7 electrolytic capacitors, backlight still turns off after about 2 s when connecting it to my laptop computer. 😣😒😞😟 Ceramic capacitors are fine.

@@TheBestGames974 Sadly... no (not yet). 😞 I'm thinking that it might be one of the transistors that is giving me a hard time.

Is it possible to do same thing on phillips 190CW? When I turn on the monitor, the image disappears after a few seconds, but button on/off still lightning.

Main Power Board I'd say. Did you check for burnt ceramic capacitors too ? Those blue ones. 🤔

Hi i have same problem, board is same i think, its look same, but mine is 17 inch, coils is ok, i checked both of them with ohmmeter, and its about 500 ohms, i changed 3 capacitors like u in this video (just one located between coils is looked like popped up, but i changed 3 of them like you, but same problem is there :( sometimes light working longer than 1-2 sec, sometimes work even longer than 1 minut. Please can u answer me what next part i need to check ? I have some old DELL LCD monitor 17 " with broken display, so i can use part which is broken on this PHILIPS, just to detect what part it is. Thank you for your answer. And greetings from olimpic city of Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegowina. You doing right thing, videos of that purpose is practical knowledge GOLD. BIG RESPECT!

I checked it already on another working display, same thing :S Thank you.
@alwaysafix

+Rajvosa Sarajevo You have to find a working CCFL lamp from your old Dell LCD and plug that lamp into your Philips to find which CCFL lamp is faulty.

I have philips 190vw the monitor takes like 3 mint to turn on when i start the computer what seems to be the problem?
@alwaysafix
@alwaysafix 8 лет назад
+Dominic Madbull Plug your computer into another monitor or TV to determine if the problem lies with the pc or the monitor. If its with the monitor it could be swollen capacitors on the power supply board. Good luck!
