Thank you again for educating all of us about this! I am guilty of not having been screened and I have no excuse. Our health department even sends out tests that we can do at home and send in. I looked it up and is a FIT test. I got one a while ago and set it aside meaning to take care of it and one day I looked at it and was time sensitive and the date had passed. The next time one comes, I will definitely take care of it and it is up to me because I don’t have a doctor! Do they put you out for a colonoscopy?
@@noraclark7677I would recommend at least doing the FIT test, I think it’s a great idea and follows the recommendation. For a colonoscopy there is sedation and some people will get general anesthesia, just depends on the decisions between the patient and the medical team. Thanks Nora!
@@citizensurgeon Thanks! They are sending out the tests every two years here so I should get another one soon. Apparently if anything shows up they call you in for a colonoscopy. They would need to put me out or sedate me to the point that I didn’t where I was I who I was!
