Mr.Camarata can work for me anytime. Always amazed at how he makes labor intensive work seem so easy. Watching his many videos demonstrates his versatility and that he's mainly a one man show. A jack of all trades and equipment handling and a mechanic too. Displays good planning, skills and smarts when approaching his work. An intelligent businessman who realizes that having all various equipment creates a demand for his services which he apparently takes pride in and enhances his bottom line. Kudos and keep up the good work on ensuring your followers are kept appraised. 👌
Man you did a great job rehabbing the trailer. It looks a lot safer loading and unloading. The flip screen really looks like the hot tip. I always enjoy seeing what you come up with.
Case 580c is how I found your videos ,popped up as recommended while I figured out how to rebuild my cylinders, 1 year and a complete over haul later I'm still watching and waiting for your next video like a kid on Christmas. You have become my favorite RU-vid channel hands down. Keep it up ,YOUR DOING A PHENOMENAL JOB.
It looks like you made wise decision on this purchase and you are able to multi-purpose with the attachment. Making usable topsoil is awesome and many jobs want you to do multiple things such as pothole repair etc. Being in such rocky situations where you are , this attachment is going to be a gem for you. I love seeing what people in different locations go through and what they do to sensibly get through the variant challenges that pop up. Great upload!
I joined your channel a few weeks ago and have gone back and watched at least a couple of dozen others so far. I am very, very impressed with the awesome variety of jobs you do as well as the quality of workmanship. You have a lot of pride in your work. Totally awesome Guy. Keep up the great work and keep those great video's coming.
I'm going to start supplying 'Care Packages' for those of us caught binge-watching Andrew for days on end. I found having to get up from the laptop to eat/drink was wasting valuable time.
We used to have a big rotary drum screener from when my grandfather built the golf course. It was 15ft long and had 3 mesh drums of different size with 3 seperate tailings chutes. Soil was screened down to 1/4 and had a conveyor to load the dump truck. I got to see it working fir a short time when i was a kid during a small renovation of the pond. It was pretty awesome to see it in action.
"Give dog more love please" Really? Andrew demonstrates his love for Levi all of the time. And on special occasions Andrew makes a video about it. I can't compete with Andrew with birthday parties for my GF, he puts me to shame, he's good at it. Here are a few Levi videos: "Levi's 12th birthday" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k6JsrGGgppE.html "Levi's 13th birthday" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-goRJ0XgDL1c.html "Playing with Levi the labrador retriever" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-50RCKZPRr8c.html
I noticed Levi shadowing more than usual in this video. Maybe the new equipment was making a heck of noise and a NEW noise that he didn't recognize? I couldn't tell if he was curious or worried for Andrew. Sweet old pup for sure!
I just recently found your videos and I have been glued to the computer ever since - informative and entertaining. I don't know how much you charge for your work, but your work is very very good and worth every penny. You are detailed in finishing up and seem to care about what people think about your work. I bet word of mouth in your area is your best advertisement. I know who I would call if I needed something and lived in your area.
On that old Chevy - under the air cleaner between the barrels is a little tube that sticks up. It's the vent for the bowl. Fill that up with gas. It will start right up. Your problem was trying to get the carb bowl primed with fuel. But the mechanical fuel pump doesn't work as well when engine is just cranking vs running.
smart Andrew a screener and a concrete mixer. A sure money maker/time saver. The mod to make it a concrete mixer is sold by the company as well. Keep up the outstanding work
The reason you don’t smoke at a gas station isn’t because of the liquid gas, it’s because of the gas fumes that are in the air in and around your gas tank and the gas pump. Still probably can’t imagine it being a good idea, but diesel gas has less fumes and especially because he was not at a gas station where the fumes are much more potent.
I like how you can segregate materials into separate trucks in one smooth operation with no need for side piles. Definite advantages over the vibe screener: portable, flexible, quieter, and more efficient.
That looked like a brand new screener. I just priced that thing on Amazon and it was like $16.5K and another $643 for shipping. Hope you have plenty of projects to offset the cost. But it is definitely a sweet piece of equipment. Anything that eliminates extra steps is a winner every time. If you have spaces on your property you want to level out and stockpile the topsoil and then separate the rock to another pile to use in areas you want to fill in or use for roadbed fill.
Love the people in the comments telling Andrew how to run his business. He made the effort to make the video and he will be making little for his work but he still does it. For anyone thinking they know it all and I’m the first to say I don’t but leave him to run his business if he goes broke he does no in the comments on his videos is going to likely prevent that happening but as the same token he may not go broke. Makes no difference to any of us we are just the ones at home looking on!! So people just appreciate what effort he makes to make the video!!! Thanks for the video Andrew
Hi andrew...for me actually this is the first time i see this kind of attachment .looks amazing and practical and time saving from going back and forth.it is good to see you getting so many attachment for your IHI .see what the next attachment will be...keep up the good work and top quality videos..cheers
Commented on this before on one of your other videos, but I am amazed at the shear versatility available in attachments for small vehicles like your Bobcat and the critter ( you likely mention what it's called, I can't recall ) in this vid....like, whoever came up with the idea of making it so it can attach and detach the equipment on the end of the arms and include multiple hydraulic ports was a frickin genius.
Watching your videos has given me such hope mixed with regret. I've chosen the wrong career. In my line of work a software developer or customer can take all my efforts and make them fruitless and I may have to go do the same efforts again over and over with no indication of progress in sight. You, on the other hand, can look back at the end of a day and admire solid progress of work done that no one on earth can deny or try to minimize. I envy you. Even at my age, I must consider a new career.
Tipping it from the top-end straight-on would also reduce the need for putting it over the screen 3 times - less fines would make it to the tail end. (a hopper/restrictor at the top end would also slow the rate down. (Most of those tailings need at least another screening maybe 2 - too many fines in the rubble)....
To Andrews dad: your son got me back out to my shed. Lost my wife 32mths ago and just about keep up with housework..Andrews got me to the auto wreckers buying a spare tire chain winch....crawling under my camper drilling at crazy angle and fitting it! Cleaned up my workshop and organised tools and dumped stuff. About to weld up a rod to wind up the tire winch and two more for my rear stabilizers so I can drive them with battery drill. Must have been a heck of a kid to raise but so glad you did.
I noticed several times rocks kicking out over the cutting edge when the screener is rolling. Around 18:10 you can see a large, flat rock kick out. There are also instances when you are preparing the lawn where this happens. Not sure if it's something that can be improved. Definitely, a great tool in any case, especially as your goal wasn't a baseball field like surface. Thank you for the quality videos.
The man loves his toys, doesn't he? Still, I stand in admiration of his ability to work with his hands. Wish I had that gift. And what a work ethic as well. "All right, uh, well, let's get started".
I think the 1 inch mesh on the tumbler is a bit too big, 3/4 inch or 1/2 inch may be better. I still saw a lot of 1 inch rocks in the finished soil which I believe will reck your mower blades.
... what a brilliant and efficient attachment to grade dirt!.. yet another great tool in your ever growing arsenal of machines... way to go Andrew... and foreman Levi :0)
Looks Very Interesting! I Want one!! _But for the time to use it Labor Related they can just order top soil and save Hundreds LOL!_ But of course that depending on where the person is located.
That screen seems to be about 16500$ new, 9000-10000$ used. That´s a lot of soil to screen before it pays for itself, if ever. I really like the design, i´m just sceptical of the economics.
Pretty damn neat idea whoever thought of that screener.. Works pretty darn good. :) And I think filling a dump truck first and then taking the dirt to where you need it probably much quicker and better, than taking the dirt each time to fill a big area like that.
That was and is a very innovative product developed in Australia by an inventor that had to go overseas - if I'm not mistaken - to find funding and development for his idea. It was originally featured on an Australian TV show similar in format to one called "The Inventors". It is unique in that there are attachments available for many common excavators and loaders, and has been around for quite some time. It is a most versatile device, useful for grading sizes of demolition rubble, or basically any kind of raw fill that could benefit from size grading.
My dear friend, I greet you from Costa Rica, Central America, I have a lot of time to watch your videos, I really like your way of working, you are very capable of doing a lot of work, and very good I like the Tower you made in your house, and I have seen your development from the beginning, I congratulate you, working young is good, because when you reach old age, there is already a way to live well, I really like the mechanics you teach, greetings with much love.
If the manufacturer of the Flip Screen didn't give you that attachment, they should have. Your video is about as good an advertisement for it as could be made, and with 52,000 people watching it, they certainly owe you something. Levi looked rather pleased with the whole thing, I thought.
F-ing AMAZING !! As a teen our family bought a new house on an un-landscaped raw sand and rock lot. My Dad and I pick-axed and shoveled in to a screed all by hand ALL for the entire lot. This machine could have taken a day or two. For us a couple hr. nearly every night and more on weekends maybe a year. We built rock retainging walls with some of the dug up rocks. We had 3 1/2 cu. yards of rocks away by dump truck.
I guess it is what you are used to. Where I live dirt with 1" rocks in it might be fill dirt, but not top soil. But considering how rocky your area is, I guess it is a big improvement. Another great video.
Andrew you know how to tell a story. Another cool implement. Another Job well done. Another great video. l think it's high time some of these heavy equipment makers start sending you free tools. IJS Also check out Epidemic sound to next level your montages.
Gotta love all Andrew’s new toys! Sure hope the factory gives him a good discount for all the free advertising, this screener lists for $16,000 on Amazon!
Really nice toy. We use a Terra Select T40 is a mobile drum sieve with, up to 100m³ an hour. The shovel sieve is too time-consuming for most companies here in Germany. In Germany everything must go fast. =( Thanks for the videos. =)
Looks like Flip Screen is a superior product, looked them up online and very impressed with what the other versions can handle. Going tomorrow to look at one myself locally...
