Using the dirt sifter with my Kubota to get ready for the lawn!!!
In this video I show the dirt sifter that I build to use with my KUBOTA tractor. I run a few scoops of dirt threw it to show how well it works. I
also go over the cost. Of it and what I think about it!!!

Awesome ideas. Hanging the classifier screen from the frame to isolate the vibrations was super. I'm gonna have to redesign my own now. :)

I was wondering when you would do a video showing this in action. not sure how I missed it. I did pretty much finish my super shaker soil sifter and it works great! I used a gas engine on mine for the shaking part. I used it to clean rocks from my landscaping. works really well. I did a video on mine back in the summer. enjoyed the video hope you are doing well.

Ya and if ya wanted to screen out one inch rock you could make a third level or layer and use a smaller screen or make a smaller screen and replace your bigger screen with it snd then just rerun the material through it.

Nice. Maybe should have ran the boards to the ground to prevent clean soil and rock from mixing and serve as a backstop for tractor bucket. Will probably be copying most of your design. Thanks!

Interesting. I’d be interested in using it to sieve fines out of crushed rock that’s been scraped from driveways.

Nice job! Do the metal pipe ends rub and wear the extension cord you ran through it? Seems like the shaking could cut through that cord after a while.

You said it right. There maybe better metal for the project but if ya got free metal to use that’s tough to beat price wise.

Nice build. Have you made any adjustments to it since it was built? Wondered if the angle was adjusted steeper or some of the other ideas shared were incorporated.

It was nice to see your Dirt Sifter in action. I don't remember if you explained why you didn't extend the front boards all the way to the base of the legs. So none of the separated stone fell back into the dirt?
@DanielWoodell
@DanielWoodell 6 лет назад
I did not put a board all of the way down because I did not want to hit it with the loader when I was removing the rocks or dirt. The amount of mixing of the rock and the clean dirt is very minimal and it seems to be working well.

You think its possible to build one out of wood and still be strong enough for taking a beating
@DanielWoodell
@DanielWoodell 3 года назад
I’m sure it possible it would have to be really sturdy! I estimate that I ha e had 3000lbs of dirt on this one at one time. And the motor is shaking. I have had to replace most of the bolts for the screen over time the shaking really make the mechanical connections come apart.

Dear every guy on youtube: Take the video AS YOU ARE BUILDING/REPAIRING THINGS in action fir all to learn from, instead of malkng videos describbng what you "did". It's youtube, not DESCRIBEtube.

Dear Every Ridiculous Commenter on RU-vid (@nt7886): you apparently didn't bother watching all the way to the end of this video where Dan linked a full build of his soil sifter/shaker. Excellent work Dan. I'll be moving back to the Kitsap side of the pond in the coming years and will need to build something very much like this. Thanks for the ideas!
