Hey Everyone! In this video I tell you all I can about where to find Scroll Saw Patterns! Patterns are everywhere, you just need to take a minute to look for them but, I do my best to show you where to find some excellent scroll saw patterns! Hope you all like the video!

Great video! When I started out I made a couple of Steve Good's patterns. I also have a collection of patterns, some that my grandfather had back in the late 40's to mid 50's. I have only used one pattern that I actually bought. I just like collecting them. I design and make the patterns I use. My passion in designing and making whirligigs and the scroll saw is perfect for that. I like adding a little humor in my designs. It makes it fun. I sketch out ideas in the winter and use the summer to make them It gets me through the cold NNY winters. You are a great inspiration to old guys like me. It is nice that you have this channel to help out the new scrollers. Enjoyed! Take care!

I we'll relate to your thousands of patterns (ha!). I have probably close to two thousand. My wife doesn't understand my reasoning! I try to tell her it's a collection for future uses. It's amazing where a scroller/carver can get a pattern for free especially if they're tight like me! I do like to spend money on Scrollsawer & Crafts. There are really a lot of "educational" articles/techniques. I'm going to show my wife and see if I can get her to watch your shirt video. Just don't be surprised if she thinks your as nutty as me. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for all of the info and encouragement. I am new to scrolling. I have found that clip art is a good source of patterns. Sometimes I just print out an oval or round border and add my own designs.

Books-A-Million here in Jacksonville Florida is where I get a lot of scroll saw magazines from too and Walmart

Etsy is a good source for scroll saw patterns too, you can download them right away which is good for me here in Australia as often the postage cost from America can be way more than the price of the pattern. Also a lot of patterns intended for laser cutting machines can be used on the scroll saw

Hey, Tyler, thanks for the info on sources. I have used several of Steve's patterns and really appreciate his generosity in providing them. Have you ever cut earring patterns? I'd love to see what you did if you have, or you can refer me to a video of you doing the process. I'd also like to see you cut a pattern with a flat blade that uses the full depth of your scroll saw throat. I recently cut a 19 1/2" long narrow nativity scene that barely fit through the 20" throat on the one end and forced me off my stool to a standing position on the other end. Quite the adventure because turning while standing and dodging the workpiece is a very different experience. I have also been cutting many earrings and pendants from Steve's patterns and love how they turn out. Have a great day, Glen

@@ArtisanPirate Thanks for the link. I watched the video and vaguely remember seeing it when you first posted it. I checked out the pattern, and it is about 2 inches shorter than the one I cut, giving you a bit more room at both ends. Nice work, by the way. Blessings, Glen
