Michael J. Fox ran his appearances on the show. They wrote him an excellent character. That scene where they all renounce to confront him when they see the severity of his condition was beautiful. I feel for him.
This was one of the extremely rare moments when JD got to score a point against Dr Cox and it is beautiful. I just love that smile on JD's face as Dr Cox is trying desperately to bulls**t his way out of a question he can't answer =D
I love how Dr Cox still abides by people's wishes. "Try not to touch me as much." "Fair enough." He knows Kevin has a problem with OCD, so when he's reminded, he doesn't get defensive, he just agrees.
"fun"fact: You see him a lot of times with his hands in his pockets, because his parkonsons manifested as tremors in his left hands fingers at that time. Sadly it has gotten way worse over the years...

The latter. Murphy's killed so many people, "government operative" doesn't cover it anymore; he must be sending souls to Davy Jones in exchange for not having to serve aboard the Flying Dutchman
Never give ammunition to the student you torment the most. They will see it as your Achilles heel in that particular case and exploit that opening to the best of their ability.
I recently had a class in Neuropsychology that was discussing Parkinson's, and one of the testimonials from Michael J. Fox appeared, and I thought I recognized him from Scrubs. His acting in this show are amazing because I had no idea when I first watched Scrubs that he had Parkinson's, but re-watching it now, I can see all the signs, and all the things he does to try to make the character appear without any conditions (although they cleverly gave his character OCD that helped his motions to manifest as OCD, and not Parkinson's). I'm super impressed.
@@oz_jones Yeah. Like OCD is not just "I like to have a clean desktop" or "I like symmetry". Just like autism is not just "am smart but awkward" and depression is not just "I'm sad today". Hollywood's really done a number on how mental illness is viewed.
No matter how good you are at something, there will always be a ficitonal character better than you. In this case, that doesn't make sense because you would be a ficitonal character too... guess im out.
Seriously, if Cox can answer 99% of questions that exist in the text book (very thick book), then he's one damn fine doctor. Jesus. Can the real doctors do that?
I love and hate MJF's character in this. I love the fact he is so strong, optimistic, all of that jazz, but I hate seeing him suffer in silence. I don't quite have the OCD he has, but I know what he goes through all too well.. Scrubs is such a great show

Agreed, but it reads like a damn test question so well. Just needs to have a drawn out stem with a red herring and 2 other answer choices that make me second guess myself.
