I graduated in 1989. The last day of school was simultaneously the best day of my life and one of the worst days of my life. I got to move on to a new chapter of my life, but I had to say goodbye to the people I had seen almost every day of my life for the previous 12 years and I haven't seen most of them again since that day.
@@silasbenz9224 hillarious. I was most popular guy in school. Literally hated most of the sheep twerps. Moving on is what men do. Those that don't are weak little boys like you. Hillarious
The eighties were my late teens and twenties. Such a wonderful time to be young. America was in great shape and Americans were very happy. The metal and concerts of the day were true events to experience. They will never ever be the same or even come close. I remember them like they were yesterday, I miss them like they were a 1,000 years ago.
You know if i could go back in time i would do it all different i would enjoy these days gone by a lot more than i did i would have a bit more appreciation for this time period of my life, its easy to say all that now but i think we all here secretly wish we could go back and maybe do it again or do it a i little different!
aww.. loved the high school years.. had more fun in those years than ever. Spent so much time with classmates after school (and especially on weekends). had my first car (old POS, but rocked).... started to skip classes because of having the car, but was not too bad. Went out just driving around, playing lots and lots of music...and while we got in the odd mischief, we never did anything illegal (other than smoke some pot sometimes),
It's important to remember the paradigm of back then- in these early days camcorders were HUGE, impossible to hide, & being filmed with personal camcorders was new back then. Ppl didn't want to be filmed because it put them on the spot, & they were usually a little self conscious, never being filmed before. Things had totally changed by the 90's
Love these videos Rob. Great footage, capturing, documenting a moment in time. I don't know you or the people in the videos, but I really appreciate you sharing these videos. By the way, I am from Scotland and recently moved to Stratford. Great seeing these videos from 30 years ago. I wish I had more documented footage from my teenage days 🎥🎬📽📹
wow thanks for this video! i was only 6 years old at the time it was filmed, but it's interesting how things were back then already. how i wish i had video cameras of my childhood days that time. but it seemed that video cameras were only for the select few or the rich that time, it's amazing how things are different now. whew.
I believe those computers are unisys icon's if i'm not mistaken. We had color ones back in highschool when I was there. There was a central server in the room with the hard drive, and each computer was networked to it. Good times.
Ahhh the school has changed so much but so little at the same time, the first classroom they were in is the grade8 mathroom now, the second one is english room
@Steve G French is really only spoken in one province of Canada - Quebec. We typically take *maybe* one or two classes of Frrench in grade 9 or 10 and then for most... that's the end of it. The VAST majority of Canadians are NOT bi-lingual
It was a great world before internet and entitlement and so many sensitive sheep . We used to actually do chit face to face. No phonie bullchit. Society has gone to chit.
