Watch as the Sculpter takes on his biggest and most ambitious project yet, his very first FLAGSHIP MONSTER! The FEARSOME (and oddly sometimes adorable?) MAGNAMALO!
NOTE This sculpt and video were completed well before the release of Sunbreak. The channel was supposed to launch back in March/April, but then life happened so, yeah. Better late than never!

Wow. I came to watch because I'm doing my own monster hunter sculpt for my 3rd as a bday gift for my brother as he loves zinogre and your techniques you used here will definitely help.

Id say Magnamalo is the second most over designed monster. Id say Zinogre beats him by a inch

Zinogre was always the "kewl" 90's kid of Monster Hunter to me. Mags is like your typical mid 2000s Naruto fan who goes everywhere wearing that damn bandana and ninja running like an idiot. So yeah, its a close race haha

Your stuff really is fantastic and it's absolutely got me planning my next piece, I'm either going to attempt Goss Harag or go all out and try someone like Gore Magala

Gore Magala... Man, one day I'd love to take a crack at that, but I think he's a bit beyond my skill level at the moment. It feels like that would be such an advanced level piece, but holy crap would that be a fun one to get right.

Well done on that, I love North of the Border. I'm sure he rubbed off on me a little bit, but my "style" is just me. We do seem a lot alike tho, which is what got me watching in the first place. If anything, I picked up a lot of sculpting methods from him, Dr. Garuda and Ace of Clay throughout the pandemic. I guess they would be my mentors

I highly recommend checking out North of the Border’s channel. He made a magnamalo of his own, and it was incredible. But I will say, this one is more accurate to the original design

Way ahead of ya. I love North of the Border. His Maggy video helped give me the push I needed to get started with the channel actually. Only, his was more Amiibo sized, and I prefer more large scale pieces. Not there's anything wrong with "tiny nerdy things" that is ;)
