Khwan finishes her fundraising sculpture of a bull elephant called Chaichaha. Chaichana lives near Kanchanaburi, Thailand. Sculpture of Bull Elephant by Khwan Barton (Part 1) • Sculpture of Bull Elep...
Khwan, if I had endless resources my home would be filled with your sculptures, sketches and paintings. You are one of the most talented, heart-centered artists out there. You and all the Bartons. But today we are celebrating you.👏🏽👏🏽
I love the way Khwan sits calmly between Chaichana & if I spelt this right Amuchi giving them each some special fruit treats, they are loving the time she spends with them & of course vice versa. Khwan I adore your sculpture of Chaichana it is really beautiful, if I was there I would definitely buy one. I see the love of elephants in your heart, you are a beautiful soul Khwan & gifted to bring joy & happiness into other people's hearts. ❤🐘❤🐘
A beautiful sculpture 🐘💖😊 !!! By the way : I gave my great niece the book " Fing " by Walliams David for her 8th birthday . She absolutely loved this book . Many greetings to Emilie for presenting the book 😃 . Take care , dear Barton family 🙂 . 🌻
C'est magnifique! ❤ I think nature loves hearing Emily play, as well. The sculpture is one of the best of an elephant we've seen. Remarkable likeness. Please tell Khwan...wow. I took a screenshot to appreciate it more. ❤
How remarkable. What a wonderfully talented family you are. I think you are right about elephants responding to music. Many years ago I watched elephants dancing to a rock band with heavy percussion and bass at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney. I think the elephant enclosure has changed since then, but I don't think the elephants looked particularly happy except for their response to the music.
You are such a talented family, but more importantly you all give so much to the beautiful elephants. You share also a love for other animals that are in your care, but I first learned about you through the music you played for the elephants. I can also see that he calms when you touch his trunk and let him know he is loved. Thank you so much!! Many thanks also to the farmers that helped Elephant World during the pandemic.
What range of frequencies can elephants actually hear? Maybe one would need to translate the frequencies to a lower range ? Should be easily done with an electrical piano.
Yep they can hear the piano, elephants cant hear *some* of the higher frequencies that we can but they are definitely able to hear the music otes of a piano. Think about the high pitch of that classic elephant trumpet they do. But I get where you're coming from, I assume you're referencing the super low frequencies that elephants use to communicate long distances?
Chaichana! Khwan has done a great job on Chaichana, he has movement. Your family are so arty, creative and talented. I hope the sales of Khwan's sculpture will benefit the elephant sanctuary immensely. This is not a criticism! I noticed on one of the sculptures, the tusks were cleanly cut. The finished product has beautiful, long tusks, unlike Chaichana's stumpy ones. Was it just artists' license, aesthetics or some other reason? Well done, Khwan!
I had not even noticed 🙈 👍🌻 I can imagine they cut the tusks for safety reasons, so the elephant is not in danger to get hunted down for his tusks. 🐘 I like the idea that she gave him his tusky power back through her sculpture 😊
