This is a good tutorial for new players on how to decontaminate radiation for sure. Now that you can easily pick rad suit lockers and force open the uranium containers at the powerplant with crowbars. Sucks that the loot you get from the rad zones is so so, hopefully they do something to make it more worth it.

I had planned on going to the B1 bunker to get a radiation suit and go to the areas you went to. I may still eventually do it but, after watching the video I'm not going to be in a hurry. I've been getting better loot just going to the police stations. I mainly go to the B1 and B2 police stations. I also go to the Quonset huts and Hangers at the B2 airport. Lately the airport hasn't had very good loot. I'm still in the process of trying out cooking. I did cook some bread and it's looking promising. I also planted 24 plants for vegetables to cook with. It'll still be a while before I get produce from the garden. Good video. I appreciate you taking the time to make it.

Yeah, they need more powerful loot there to make it worthwhile. I wanted to focus more on the positive side of it in this video instead of fixating it on the negative. Though, it definitely needs a buff. I'm glad you enjoyed the content, and thanks for your support!

@@palfy205 The thing is that's the way the Nuclear power plant was if you couldn't lockpick. They're making the B2 airport where I don't bother going there much. My base is across the fence. I haven't tried the Boot camp and the Quonset huts and office at the Naval yard yet. Those used to be good places to go. It seems really odd to me that now the police stations are the best place to get guns at. Except the kill box. I'm sure it's still good. I have been to a few air drops. They can still be good loot. Depending on what you need.

The thing now is that everything is situational. You can't find a sniper in the police stations. But you can find gear that police would use. Handguns shotguns MP5 so on. Bunkers, you'll find assault rifles and snipers. The update has not been here long enough to know what every area has to offer, but I can assure you that every place has something specific to it. We just need to figure out what.

@@palfy205 I need to check my loot again to see which rifles I've found in the police station. I was thinking I've found an AS Val. I've also found a couple of MK18's. Can't remember if it was the police station or a drop. So far the only places I've looted have been the B2 airport, police stations, and went to a very few drops. Been spending most of the time building the base. I used to find a lot of rifles at the B2 airport. Not now.

I don't remember the amount, but I remember them nerfing the price of uranium from the nuclear plant to like 2k a piece or something similar, which even that I don't see as worth it giving the risk and how much you have to invest to get clean after that.

If you have a rad suit and spare backpacks and are a good lockpick, then it definitely is worth it since the loot is usually untouched. But I have to agree, if the price is reduced and you're busting yourself doing everything, a bunker would do the trick just fine.

The only thing is worth to go to that zone is to collect uranium if you need a tons of money, but for looting anything else is just a waste of time. :D But anyway thx for the video ^^

Yeah I’m gonna just avoid the radiation all together after seeing this I’m good on all that cleaning stuff lol. Nice video helped me make my decision to stay away from the new POIs.

Glad I could help. I would encourage most to veer away from it, it's not worth the time or the risk. All the buildings are pretty much copy pasted too. I just wanted to keep the video positive.

Same. It's just nothing there worth the hassle. Unless you're on high-pop and every usual spot is been looted constantly.

Yes, there are some, but every few days vehicles despawn if they're not touched and most likely will get snatched up from other locations since most people won't venture into the area for a vehicle. I went in there with max vehicle spawns on my singleplayer and did not find one that had spawned inside the rad zones. I have seen some previously though.

If you use it up, it shouldn't matter if it's contaminated or not. Though, I only tested with very low radiation levels, but it should still work.

The fact is... why would you go trough radiation if the loot is exactly same as everywhere else

It's not even exactly the same. It's less frequent, too. Towns are more grouped together and do bunkers. The loot is spread out the size of the big town and about as much loot as two buildings worth. That's what happens when the publisher tells you to push an update that's not ready.
