To add to the video once you start levelling up your rifle skill you will reload faster and have less recoil when firing your weapon. Also to note -
♦When firing iron sights or through an optics (sight) = Rifle skill (less recoil / faster reloading
♦When firing through scope (sniper) - Pressing left ctrl will range further as the skill increases + less recoil + faster reloading

The other big plus for this is that you use a tool box to repair the crossbow, not a coveted gun cleaning kit.

Count me in, I am fortunate enough to get this baby on my 1st spawn for my new char. It just lay inside a white container box with a small toolbox beside it! What a luck indeed!

I was actually testing this the other day and found out how nice it was and i KNEW that we’re gonna have a video about it lol. The only issue with it is that when you attach a flashlight to it it blocks most of the light

Not sure if it's after the patch, but you can use the crossbows with less than 3 strength, it just takes longer as your character struggles a bit.

@@RayKit Hmmm. Maybe, but I haven't run into any problems so far. Maybe because I just snipe with it. It seems to be highly accurate over long distances.

I'm confused, so i assume you can't make Metal Crossbow Bolts yourself but rather you have to find those in the world. Does that mean that the ones you CAN craft, Metal Tip Crossbow Bolts, depend on your Archery skill rather than Rifles skill?? Because the description says: "Made of WOOD with metal tip."

Great video (as always) is there a way to compare the damage on the different bolts like stone Vs metal? Also a little off topic, I made a character with 3 strength, but now it seems to decline, I'm at 2,8, anyone knows why?

I will test and get back to you on that one Robin. I'm curious now too. Not too useful on the decline. Keep eating meat as far as I know. And carry some logs as that helps endurance too. This should be fixed when metabolism is incorporated into the game as it will have all of that too. Keep an eye out for videos. All the best stay safe

Thank you Ray for great video. I played SCUM when EA came but didn't play it in a while. And after Cyberpunk disaster I gave SCUM a shot again. And I was shocked how much they changed the game. In positive way :) I have to also say that I'm especially honed as Croat seeing all Croatian things inside the game - that looks so good. Sunrises are the best ever in gaming industry! :) :) #proud But to the topic of Blackhawk. I had a luck to find 2 of these. And I already like it very much as my ranged weapon. Seeing you can attach scopes to it without any additional attachments makes me wonder why I'm unable to attach anything to it? I bet it has something with Engineering skill, definitely :(

Make sure you are holding the attachment on your person or in vicinity. If you try to pull it from a storage item (found or built) it will not attach directly.

How do you repair it? I have been trying using the weapon tool kit but the menu to repair doesn't work. I can repair other weapons with no problem

i have a question idk if you can answer it but i have always played this game at about 110 to 140 fps but just after this update i have been getting way less like down to the 40 fps mark would you happen to know why?

Pile of rocks and a beater of some kind to make arrow heads, feathers, and small sticks and you've got really good hard hitting bolts.

Personally, prefer bows... Yeah, you don't need to make corrections, but hitting every other part of zombie's body almos don't do damage - 3-4-5 bolts to kill. Failed headshot often = lost bolt. Awful rate of fire: if you missed a running suicider, no way you'll manage to do the second shot. Personally, I found tons of these BlackHawks, but can't find ANY other sight then two type of holographic. No optics. And final, ammo. You can do arrows for bow of any bush anytime, but bolts require feathers, that's annoying.

Even irl you can only use modern crossbows during rifle season because of how powerful they are. You can get them with 200+lb draw weight which will launch the bolt at over 300fps.
