I think RDR2 has a good example of hunting/skinning as does Day:Z so really the SCUM Devs should really take notes from those games and implement something similiar, i get that you'd track animals in real life and i totally understand that, but i think making it into a mini-game is a poor decision in my honest opinion, i personally preffered the way Day:Z implemented wild-life & hunting, it made the world feel more immersive and hostile at the same time, the only part that killed it for me on some Day:Z servers is when you get given starting money, and it allowed you to fully gear yourself up from the get go... So hopefully SCUM can avoid that and focus more on adding features where you must choose between certain things, i get that going into built up areas allows you to get clothing and such much quicker, but i personally think making you focus on building a base-camp and hunting first would allow you to get the feel of the game and introduce the game better and make it more interactive and immersive?.
I need help bro NVR got into survival games bought this and like i like the axe crafted and would switch it out and made the bag but I keep losing them wen u pick something up u lose ur gear I gave up any tips on wat I should do is welcomed prob going to start over
i dont know man... in my opinion they have some much more important "construction sites" to work on.... this feels like putting in contend to keep players calm. distracting them from the real issues they have real trouble to fix :( dont get me wrong, im a fan of weathering and stuff... but they should concentrate on the main issues first. like the puppets AI and spawning system, and performance ofc... weather will be a flaw to performance i guess
hey ray would it be possible to find out if scum will be coming to ps5 as well as xbox on 1.0 release my whole dayz clan are hoping it's coming to ps5 on release
Hi RayKit as I'm typing this the temperature is 84 degrees 86% humidity and the feels like temperature is 98 😰. I can honestly say I'm ready for fall to come😁
@foundryrat1282 I'm enjoying the sun we have right now but not been out tok much in the day due to streams but evening have been blissful. I have a little wood burner in the garden and ita chill vibes. I prefer cooler weather. Much cosier.
Unpopular opinion here but this is coming from years of playing SCUM (1148hrs). I do not believe this is a game anymore and is a money printer for the new devs like I worried when he sold it. Nothing is any different now than in 2022, the "Behind the Scenes" are just a farse and show simple things I can do in Unreal. Watch the last one, Occums Razor. A dam shame, I had high hopes but its over. Now they are just using streamers and content creators to sell the game and once sales stop they will sell and go sit on their boats. Early access games are becoming the new dev money printer.
I very much disagree. As a player from day 1 with 7.5k hours and with the jagex acquisition, this is very much a real game. Everything is custom programmed from unreal. Most features are not copy or pasted, but customised. Each to their own. Some of these devs have been in the industry for years.
@@RayKit Is a real early access game. Now it's stagnate, the last behind the scenes was the final proof for me. Jagex will move at trolling motor speed to generate $$$ and make it look like to Steam things are moving but they simply are not, They are a DEI company, Im thinking they bought SCUM to make them some $ until they state it doesn't aligne with their values and sell it. Love your channel but you are their main sales team.
i had soo much fun with friend when puppets were bugged and spawning random and we died alot :D and was fun :D tho after they changed that i didnt play from that update :( i hope they give us pve players some challenges. and yes i play on hardcore server but still too easy
I really like this hunting mechanic in scum. After all it’s just a game and don’t necessarily need to be super realistic like in real life with animals constantly walking around the map 😅 also this game mechanic is way more interesting and a bit of a challenge instead of just running straight into the direction, the sounds are coming from.
As long they don't fix the spawn system so that Puppets not only appear when you spent X amount of time at a location, it is not worth playing this game for anyone that wants a PvE game experience. Game had so much potential, but the Devs just lost their way a while ago.
