SCV 2018 Drumline: In The Lot

Paul Rennick has discovered the the stone of invincibility.

That line is solid in all sections. This is definitely a drum line who will be in the eye for top honors. Possibly 1st all around this year. It will be competitive, but SCV..... Wow.

Nobody is going to point out that Brandon Olander is Center snare for BD and Bryce Gardner is Center snare for SCV these two have truly flourish since their beginning of DCI

Hey Group, have you noticed that the intonation of the line actually has resonance. The only line thus far that has pitch clarity rendering a true characteristic tone quality of each section.

Didn't realize how unclean everyother line was until I saw this..

Every players hands are doing something odd and different from one another but it doesn't affect the clarity of their playing one bit. Their balance in dynamics and tone from player to player is impeccable which is what actually counts and the battery staff has a perfect understanding of this. It's nice being able to listen to a group that has the right idea of musical value in sound production

This is the best SCV corps I've ever seen and they are going to crush the record books this year, not only the drumline but the whole corps (and I saw 1999 and marched in 2001/2002)

I don’t think they understand what pre season dirt is

I know people are always sick of the same people winning. But there's a reason for that. Right now SCV is the cleanest drumline again. I just hope the judges don't have the "someone else should get a chance-" ittis. They're so good that they have to be completely unbelievable to get a fair shot.

Paul Rennick, probably my favorite writer of all time! Seems like a lot of other lines are playing a lot of quarter notes, and Paul seems to be innovating the way lines are playing now a days.

Ok DCI, you all have to get these costumes under control. It looks like someone got high and said "i wonder what stormtroopers wear as pajamas?" I can live with Phantom Regiment. It looks sort of cool considering. I can live with Cavaliers cause it still resembles the Cavaliers. But the rest of you have lost your minds. (Also, best Drum line by far.)

SCV is definitely the cleanest and sounds better than any line, but... after seeing other lines in person recently, I’ve realized how hard the music is and how amazing everyone is at playing. You don’t realize the difficulty of the music until you try and play it yourself, or until you see it in person. I was so much more impressed after doing so. The point is, I now care less about who wins, and more about how well everyone plays. And from what I’ve seen, this is a great season.
