Man, all the times I forgot I had a camera pointing at my face...😂 In all seriousness, thank you to FloMarching for capturing this memory in my life, I will treasure it forever 😊
06:30 - 07:00 iit doesn't get any better than to see a snare player well up with emotion to the point of tears. That was beautiful man! I know that feeling. I know that crowd was throwing babies for you. When you're old like me, please remember that moment. Don't ever forget it. It might just save you some day.
This honestly just warms my heart so much, you can just tell by the look on all of their faces that this was when they realized, that all that hard work was worth it, that all that detailing was worth it, that everything was worth it
A prime example of why Vanguard has always had- and always will have- some of the greatest drumlines in DCI. I know they had a 'slump' when Jim Casella left after they won the Fred Sanford trophy in 2004, but that all changed once Paul Rennick came over from Phantom Regiment and the success he had with them. When I saw Vanguard in 2011, I proclaimed out loud that SCV's line was back after hearing them rock the house. Even though I am a brass guy DCI alum, I am always enthusiastic to hear some sick drum licks. More so if it's from the Vanguard. Please keep Paul Rennick on your staff.
I love when you’re performing or rehearsing in Drumline and the whole line has a break from playing, and you just talk while you move as a group. I love that stuff. Memories😂😂😂
@@hunterwhittaker9291 no they use pr2s. There’s a video of Paul Renick talking about his sticks and how the pr1s didn’t have enough projection for outdoor shows
The amount of energy and emotion and passion you can see on everyones faces during that last hit... it's the most inspiring thing I’ve ever seen. Hopefully I’ll eventually get good enough to join your corps so I can feel this sort of emotion and share it with so many people, thank you so much for the amazing view!!!
kyle, the guy next to cam at 6:00 is our instructor now bro and we’re actually so lucky!! this has been my favorite show for ages and then hearing that our new instructor marched scv 2018 snare had me go crazy bro
As a drumline player and then drumline director for a large University I can tell you how great this is!! Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Fiesta Bowl TV, cams in your face. We didn't have the tech back then to do a drum cam so much of my memories are just great memories! Play On!
Wow!! & w/ this thunderous dunk... summer is over! (tear) & we won't soon forget the summer of '18 when SCV lit the whole nation up! Congrats Cameron...that was incredible...!
Cameron Cavender cool. It’s my first year on snare in high school and everyone is saying I’m like a prodigy so now I want to strive to be on the vanguard line
Ccheung12 www.snarescience.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2628&start=4600 look for JSullivan, he posted them, closer transcription is on page 186 (the next page)
Do they allow for you to attach cameras to your drums? Like in drum corps. It’s a goal for me to get into blue coats my last year and if I get there 🙏 with hard work I’d love to record it.
In competition, no (I think, unless it’s a company, I’ve seen Remo get away with it, there’s also that one iconic video from Crown 2014 finals) This is a victory run so anything goes There’s always full show rehearsals during finals week which is as close as one can get to competition cam
If you look backfield but the DM you can see a what looks to be a group of people. Two in the white uniforms on the end and then then 3 in red. It’s the uniforms of two performers and guard. Who are they? They cannot be seen on the other finals videos. Only here. Who are theyyyy????
@@Ebidle This comment show's how badass BD really is. They have a 2nd place show and it's considered a down year. Majority of other corps finish 2nd, they are getting statues built of themselves.
