In this video I run and review the Axial SCX10 iii Base Camp K10 edition! The SCX10 base camp chassis is a solid, functional chassis and is a great option for a first crawler, or an experienced RC owner to build upon. Axial added the 1982 licensed Chevy K10 stepside body from ProLine to this model, giving it timeless good looks in addition to its solid performance. Expect to see a deep dive into the key features of the truck, lots of run footage on the trails and the rocks, and a look at the trucks weight distribution.

I’m in desperate need of some assistance man, I’ve dumped some good money into my scx24 gladiator the parts I have are -RCAWD high clearance links/ and 4 linked -RCAWD 58mm double barrel shocks -RCAWD Fourth Version Brass SCX24 Portal Axles -INJORA 050 50T Brushed Motor with Helical Gear Complete Transmission -INJORA skid plate -OGRC Brass Servo Mount Adjustable -OGRC 1.0 Plus Brass Beadlock Wheels Negative Offset 3.5mm -1.0 Mud Slingers Tires 64 *25mm -INJORA Front Bumper & Light Also I have INJORA Center Drive Shafts still on the way My problem is whenever I am driving, flat ground or when I’m crawling. The jeep likes to extend all four shocks all the way into the air especially when I turn the wheels it doesn’t lean or dip down it full on lifts into the air I’ve checked for binding everywhere and made sure none of my screws/bolts where too tight I’ve greased everything lol I even took one of the rubber seals off the small end of each link, and on my shocks to see if that would help. my shocks in the front currently have the light springs installed because my servo was getting caught in my frame which I did trim that and it helped a lot but the rear has no springs I do have my shocks angled for more articulation, but I had to put the front shocks in the stock Mount location so that my front driveshaft would stop falling out if you know why/how this could be happening please let me know i’m also considering ordering a 13 tooth overdrive for the front axle to help keep the jeep from doing this

dont forget the vrd stance and ascent fusion are still relatively similar price and you get incredible performance gains over the base camp

Central CT here! I don’t have a 1/10 scale crawler currently… but I’d consider making the purchase to hit that spot. Looks awesome, seems like a great community for crawlers up there!

this is a good base if they also made a kit in it. with all the aftermarket parts, it would be wonderful and you could add in all the cool features instead of spending money on an rtr with several features that you still need to replace a bunch of other parts. odd with so much body rubbing with those smaller tires

Great platform . In Canada that truck is $850, I just picked up a regular , plain Jane basecamp for $400. Same truck with a different body. 2 speed and dig don’t matter to me, more to fail later. I like the generic body as I’m not worried about dragging it across the rocks . Great video Adam 👍

Put the ZOKU kit on it and you will love it. The lcxu transmission may be the best available option. I really dig it😊lol

In the UK this truck is £519 which works out at $656, in my opinion it’s not worth near that amount for the features it has. For £30 more I can get the TRX4 defender with a 2 speed transmission and lockable front and rear diffs, it’s a shame it’s that expensive here as I love my scx24’s.
