Seeing Odysseus actually shed a tear when he learns it was Eurylochus who opened the bag... and the fact this is hand drawn traditional art is amazing!
Absolutely amazing! I love the fluidity of scyllas's head, and just the design alone. I love the fact it's traditional art. I adore the expressions of odysseous and eurylychus, when they're talking about the wind bag, when eurylychus is getting clowned by scylla and realizes odysseous set him up, and when scylla and odssyous talk at the end. Awesome!
wow, the afterimage effect from erasing a monster head and redrawing it is fantastic. Almost like it's animated. I favor traditional but never thought to make an animatic on paper. So good.
THIS IS SO COOL HELLO??? the fact that this is TRADITIONAL is crazy enough, but the fact that you used the lighting on the actual paper in the photos to communicate them entering and leaving Scylla's cave?? oooooufishjdhsdd this is. so cool. Also the sheer amount of movement you were able to convey by drawing and erasing and drawing over what you did before, it's just!!! Amazing!!!
this is so GOOD!!! the 360 shot was so masterfully done especially on paper and the action scene was fluid. I also really loved the emotions captured!!
this is stunning. I LOVE the poses and the expressions and you might actually be the first person to show frame-by-frame all the sailors being eaten by Scylla. Such gore, such thrill and horror! Also idk if it was intentional or not but GREAT use of natural lighting, keeping the caves in shadow but letting the light shine when the ships escaped the lair! Seriously this was amazing, and seeing Odysseus actually look like he's spent years at sea is the cherry on top :D
This looks incredible! The emotions are so clear and well done, I like the take of how Odysseus is more sad when he learns what his second in command did….
I thought something was missing from the canon design. I mean I love the woman body in a mouth design but there was supposed to be more chaos in that form. So yeah there you get the dog heads.
Okay, how can one manage to do traditional art animation? Cause with digital you can just easily overlay the frames but with paper you don’t have that luxury. Yet you managed to draw the character’s style, movement, etc quite consistently… that’s minty impressive
@@justtheguy444 damn, how come your paper isn’t ripped and teared? Everytime I erase something one the same spot too many times, bits of paper starts tearing off
This is insane!!! This is my favorite animatic I’ve seen for this song 🫶💗 Thank you so much for making this masterpiece. You’re so skilled!! Please continue creating and sharing your art 🥹🙏
As someone who can't afford the resources to make digital art, I really appreciate this. Thank you! 🥹 And this is so nicely done too! The animation is so smooth and love the artstyle! OMG I'm crying! Thank you so much!!
I used to make animatics with the traditional method I always love seeing others do it too and oh my gosh the scylla portion with the movements of the heads were amazing great job!
