SDTM is like Angies list of pinball. If they take on an advertiser it is because they believe in there product. SDTM has integrity. Thank you for vetting these people before promoting their products. I have taken several of there recommendations and I have been pleased with every one of them. SDTM is a great pinball show. The best in the industry. Thank you for bringing us great products, information and most of all being honest. Amusement Services of America!
Greg, I agree. I can't see a thing on this playfield, too much bright color art. I can't honestly tell how this pin is gonna shoot, no clue. Could be awesome, could be a clunkfest. We will find out soon. I'm Frippertron on Pinside.
Enoyed the discussion on this guys. I think this looks great, but I have a Hobbit NIB BA on order, so I think I have to play this elsewhere. Question, what is your favourite table from the modern Sterns? Cheers!
I think it looks amazing. I ordered an LE. I didn't have it on my radar with all the games i've bought this year. I hope the code is good out of the box. Given the last 5 games from Stern, it's more a question of when rather than if it will have good code. Good times in pinball, friends.
Everything on the game makes perfect visual sense to me, because it strikes me as exactly what Deadpool himself would want to stick in it if he had a hand in the design. OF COURSE he'd put the unicorn, the disco ball and the cheesy bobble-head on it.
I saw the preview video that Stern put out for Deadpool and I was thinkin' man that game looks fun, I'm not even really a big comic book guy but it looks great.
We have The Munsters coming, Soon Deadpool, Monster Bash Remake, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in the close future. Wow! I love this pinball re-resurgence we are experiencing. Great time to be alive! Wish my pocket book and space was bigger.
I am really interested to see how Deadpool plays as well. TNA review coming soon? Also Zach--you should do a video on what "keeps me coming back to certain machines". I noticed your SW is one of the few machines that seems to stick around for awhile. I know your GB stuck for a bit too. You could highlight machines that either you have bought multiple times and why, as well as what elements of a game makes it stick around for you. A greatest hits of sorts for you.
Thanks for doing this video guys. We are thinking about buying the premium and love the megladon artwork. It's kinda a must since we already have the life-size Deadpool figure in the mancave. Like you both said, we are gonna have to see it first.
Congrats on the new sponsor! The candy purple color coated lockdown for our Guardians Premium would look incredible! We were so excited about Deadpool after watching the video. May have to sell a kidney or one of the kids to afford it, but I think we can make it happen, lol.
I don't know I was never all too impressed with Stern Pinball. Oh look another rock band pinball. And another Comic Book theme MCU movie tie in... Guardians of the Galaxy Avengers Iron Man.. I sent the theme of rinse and repeat. I really would love to see Stern come up with something new..
I really do hope they are at nearly a full code. It makes me curious if that is one of the main reasons for pinball enthusiasts to be drawn to it over many recent Stern releases because the code is awesome? I've seen many people being drawn back to Guardians and Batman now because the code is getting there. What is your opinion? Do you think IM would be doing as well as it is if it were released with a bare bones code similar to Guardians and Batman?
Good review, got me more excited. Only thing that I'm not digging on right now is that the playfield artwork makes it look cluttered. Just from the pics it's hard to tell what's going on. Other than that the artwork quality looks great.
Y'all were alive in the 1980s and 1990s so you should remember that fighting games with health bars were really a 1990s staple and not the 1980s. You guys were probably too busy driving mini-trucks, perming your mullets, and shoving nerds into lockers to notice.
thehellezell zach said that!!!! He don’t know his shit and I wasn’t listening to him. Man I still play my Sega atleast once a week! And we were the nerds being shoved in the lockers!!!!
I don't think it was wholly scrapped either, I took one look at that horseshoe through the pops and up the ramp, and thought 'that's as Trudeau as Trudeau can be'.
Including all the flow ideas? Nothing at all survived, not even reworked by George beyond recognition? I did think at the time the news first broke that whatever game was being worked would go straight back to the drawing board, that either there was no way a big corporation with an image to uphold would even obliquely allow itself to be associated with that, or that Stern would suck it up and absorb the not insignificant cost out of principle and their own image.
Thumbs down for not starting the ACTUAL video topic until 5:50 Wow. Almost 6 minutes of advertising right off the bat. That is insanely lame. This was my first... and now last video of yours I will watch. If you were trying to attract new viewers... this one failed with me. UPDATE: Double wow! You haven't even seen the pinball in person? You made a 45 minute "first look" video about a pinball machine that you haven't even looked at in person! Awesome. Thanks for your amazing insight into the brochure. Really well done.
RayneCraver well damn we hate to see you go so soon Rayne. We were excited about our new sponsor so wanted to show everyone the neat stuff that can be done to your pinball machines. We only do this intro when there is a new sponsor. Usually, the sponsor intro is one minute. Sorry about your dissatisfaction with the show.
RayneCraver, you should definitely stick around. Just wait until they do one of their can't miss top 10 lists. I am really looking forward to the top 10 aprons and top 10 lock-down bar episodes. These guys must spend at least multiple minutes in planning these shows.
