Ah the younger generation. He says: "If you want to Jack Sparrow this bad boy..." The older generation would say: "If you want to Mad Max this bad boy..."
@@snakemanmike lies. A legit colt 1911 for less than 1200$? Where the hell are you shopping? Edit: And hold up? A Mossberg 500 anddd a 1911? Hella lies.
Ithaca firearms made a series of sawed off shotguns in the 1920s called the Auto and Burglar that could be had in either 12 or 20 gauge with pistol grips and roughly 10 inch barrels that they advertised for home or store defense as well as for defense in your car from hijackers.
I don't imagine how good and effective is a sawed off shotgun!!!! I love it... but mine is in 12" gauge, you know a real man sawed off double barrel shotgun 👍🤣
I shot something like this one in a 12 gauge remington SxS, I definitely agree, hip fire is the way to go as opposed to trying to hold it like a pistol one or two handed. The recoil is a beast.
2 things. 1-my question was answered as far as what length barrels are necessary to get a meaningful scatter pattern inside the close confines of the home. You need to get down to 10" for descent spread. 2- I would have to keep the full stock as I think they look better. BTW Great video!
I suggest having a gunsmith port the barrel to divert gas, reducing overall recoil slightly, and if diverted up, it of course helps reduce the powerful tendency to swing up and out of the hand. Just a suggestion from a guy who uses his 19" barrel 12 guage for everything. It kicked like a mule before I posted the barrel, afterwards it has what I would call a lighter recoil but it's still a bit harsh compared to a 45-70gvt. I'm considering porting slightly farther up the length to begin releasing excess gasses sooner. Plus since mine is break action, single shot, I like to fire gun darts from it, which are awesome and I would recommend using for any kind of distance shooting from a short barrel shotgun lol. Fin stabilized, shortened, and weighted crossbow bolts, fitted into a shot cup and secured in place with a custom plastic sabot. I'll make a video of arrows some day, deer season here though so not for a week at least.
Yeah, I wish I could have a gun like that. A Sawed-off double barrel shotgun as a hand gun only, So I can use it for target shooting practice. And even I could use it for self-defense, And also use it to kill cockroaches by shooting them.
Ithaca Auto & Burglar look it up, it's basically this with a proper pistol grip they were only made for a few years before the nfa i believe forgotten weapons has a video on them. my other question is since it's a stoeger can u put a set of their coach gun barrels on this
The barrel release lever catches you right in the webbing between the thumb and the pointer finger. That's the only real bad thing about not having a full stock on a sawed off.
I made one just like that about 10 years ago from a cheap 12 gauge side by side I got from the pawn shop for about $50 cut and sanded the stock down just be careful of that break over lever if you dont have mans grip two hand it cuz it will slide back and slice the web of your hand open
I would prefer a short stock that makes shoulder contact. I had some pistol grip shotguns, but I ended up replacing the pistols grip with factory stocks and cutting the stocks to fit my shoulder. A much better deal all the way around.
Cletus Kasady, if you make an AOW, the tax stamp is $200. If you purchase an AOW, it's just $5. Since you were doing a build; that's probably why you didn't have the long wait. I don't know about that, because I've never built an AOW.
@Phillip Cameron I completely agree, I use my 20's for everything...... I only use my Trap/Skeet 12's the others sit..... Deer I would use 20 slugs or 12 buckshot but I only use bow........
Trae UCity yea no shit when you could just not buy a double barrel 12 gauge and definitely not saw the barrel and stock and definitely not have no idea what happened to that gun
@bert smith The iconic double barrel. If you just want a sawn off and looks doesn't matter that much, its much cheaper to craft one from a single barrel shotgun and spent a lot less.
S.E.A. makes terrifc products and everything they do is very high quality and the people who run the place are very knowledgeable and super kind. Only problem is they are little slow.
How about an over/under version with a contoured rubberized revolver-style grip? You know, like the kind Pachmayr used to make. Also a single-selective trigger that fires top first, then bottom (resets when the gun is broken open). This would make it able to be fired like a pistol. Also, there's no logic in paying MORE money for LESS gun, so they should sell it cheaper if they expect to sell decent numbers of these "ghetto blasters." 4:28 Actually, there's a way to do that legit-like. Put a wrap-around rubber grip sleeve over the grip that has a contoured backstrap to protect the palm from the cam lever (and to rest against the palm), and wear gloves with gel pads. 4:46 Give it a third barrel, a single-selective trigger, and a rotating firing pin that resets to the top when the gun is broken open. Also give it a grip like what I described. Top it off with pistol sights. Any kind of pistol sights (three dot, Glock-style square sights, anything will do).
Aguila mini shells in 12 gauge. Come in bird, buck and slugs. Still throw 12 gauge loads but don't kick so much. Perfect for sawed off 12 gauge personal protection!
If i remember right a lot of gangs use them especially by the Italian-american and Sicillian mobsters since the late 1880's idk if they still carry them to this day though but i read somewhere that these types of shotguns were their faves in doing hits
