I've been watching your videos since I came across you by accident when you hooked that one in a lifetime bass at Holyhead and a massive well done for that. Ever since then I've watched all of them and also subscribed and also recommended you to other fishermen and gave you a mention on the North Wales section of the WSF fishing forum. I see you like the Holyhead Breakwater which is good for ease of fishing plush it's a very comfortable place to fish but if you don't fish beyond the first bend or over the back wall it can be very poor. In fact I prefer the part before the walk up to the breakwater called the rocky coats as in the past I've had some very large double figure congers from there. The reason I wanted to comment was as you like Breakwaters why haven't you tried the Amlwch breakwater, shorter walk, deeper water and as much as 20 different species you can catch in ones session. If you fish it into darkness and cast into the harbour you will also get large congers. Just a thought anyway as it's the same distance from the bridge as it is to Holyhead but just opposite sides of the island. I live on Anglesey in Amlwch and there are much better places to fish than Holyhead breakwater and I've been fishing the island for over 47 years. Love your content and your fish handing and release is second to none. Good luck on your next session and love the videos whether you catch or not as it's honest fishing and shows that sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't, if the fish aren't there you that's the way it goes. Also take a look at Tidesforfishing website with the moon cycles, sounds silly but the moon has a massive effect on the fishing as does low and high pressure. I have 2 koi pond and when there is an easterly wind the buggers don't feed which is quite incredible as the old fishermen used to say the same, take care my friend and look forward to your next session.

Thanks for that kind words buddy! I only started sea fishing last year and only started making sea fishing videos about 8 weeks ago, I have fished Amlwch last yeah and had a few dogs and lost a decent conger….. I’m still learning marks, methods and finding new areas so it’s all a little learning curve for me at the moment, got plenty of marks wrote down and things I want to do over the next year or so so I’ll just see were it takes me 😂 Cheers - John

🤣🤣🤣🤣That's a pit bull goby! I am loving these videos and cannot wait to see you catch a banging cod. You know its coming! My dad and I used to fish the Ranney Pool near Cardiff for cod, and they used to come in good around January on squid/Black lug combos. Weight anchored to the bottom and a paternoster rig to keep the bait off the bottom. I would imagine that with the water warming up since 40 odd years ago so they should be hitting your end by January and onwards. Peelers were good too but you really need to keep the bait up.

I don't rate the breakwater,I've fished it a few times, and even in a competition a couple of years ago.It seems pretty short of fish to me.It's 250 mile round trip from where I live.I've fished off the bridge at 4 mile bridge with a lot more success.Caught live small bait on the Holyhead side of the bridge, then float fished them live off the Rhosneigr side. There's a deep hole where the water rushes under the bridge, usually ok for bass. There's a couple of local old guys that fish it regularly.

I use a mixture buddy, I got 2 15ft pen prevail for my beach fishing, I got a couple of mash dwarf rods I use for my lure and float fishing then a couple of old cheap rods I use off that rocks and up walls ect….
