A very last minute decision to go sea fishing see Mark and I head down to Selsey in West Sussex and target some late summer Black Bream. It was approximately 11am when we decide to head to the venue so a quick sort out of bait and tackle and I was heading out on the 2 and a half hour trip to the mark. We arrived with an hour of flooding tide remaining and a strong westerly wind coming off our backs, the weather forecast was for an hour or two of light rain after 6pm so we were hoping to get a few fish on the deck before it took a turn. Mark was the first to catch with a good size Black Bream that would have been lovely for the dinner table and then shortly after he had another. High tide arrived and went but along with it came the rain! it may of started off light but it soon progressed into constant heavy rain and i ended up cold and wet. I still managed to land myself 5 Bream but as the light began to fade so did my enthusiasm to continue fishing in deteriorating conditions. We both left the beach after a 5 hour session reasonably happy as we both caught what I had aimed for.
