Hey, just a heads up, I ordered the deck from the link in the video and I noticed a few discrepancies 1. Sapphire dragon, Mirror shell crab, Terramorphic expanse, and Waker of waves are not included in it 2. Read the bones, negate, and “saw it coming” are included in the deck list despite not being present in the video For anyone reading, if you’d like to buy the deck as presented in the video you’ll have to add the cards in 1 and cut the cards mentioned in 2
Runo is a lot of fun to play. Giant Oyster is a great sea monsterish way to deal with creature threats and super budget at like 8 cents. One card I think you need to splurge (~1.50) is Soothsaying. U for an enchantment that lets you pay X and reorder X cards on/from the top of your library. It even has a shuffle ability if you really hit a wall with the top of your deck. Simply amazing for transforming Runo!
I would say spawning kraken is a really good card to go over budget for on this deck, it can be a win condition for sure, I once made 456 9/9 kraken tokens in one game with the commander and spawning kraken
@@Daks0n I don't have it saved but it's not a soda deck. It pretty much all kraken and leviathan you can think of. And it has that temple that helps me summon them
All of a sudden you have been releasing videos of commanders that I want to use/ are already using, first it was grist the hunger tide and now this man. 😎
been putting this deck together recently. tried it out the other night. decided to see if there were any brews on yt for stromkirk. now after my game the other night, i was 100% convinced junkwinder was the best card in the deck. as you went through the list, you got to the golden pig and im like JUNK WINDER and it was! XD my game the other night went pretty simple turn 1. nothing turn 2. arcane signet turn 3. nadir kraken turn 4. kraken trigger, then summon stromkirk turn 5. kraken trigger, flip stromkirk, swing with nadir kraken, summon junkwinder turn 6. play part the waterveil. junkwinder proceeds to tap down everyones board for next two turns. everyone pretty much conceded at this point junkwinder definitely shined with an early nadir. it probably wouldnt pop off nearly as hard. a big upgrade to the deck being sire of stagnation. that card being copied is absolutely backbreaking! +4 per turn minimum usually if both live and him being a fat body means he can swing relatively easily.
I wish they release a temur commander for a kind of huge creature tribal deck Something that made those wurms, leviathans and maybe even some dragons scarier or allowed you to get them off more easily I just like the theme though, World Ending monsters are so fun
I feel like if you want to play Icebreaker Kraken then you should play snow basics. The stun ability is good, but having it be possibly cheaper to cast and protect itself in a pinch seems worth it.
I've been running this deck for a while now and it's pretty nasty. Also if u have a few extra bucks on ya, I recommend adding mirror box, (so u can copy your legendaries and make ur clone army hit harder), and helm of the host, ( same reason but you can go infinite with krothus)
YOOO THAT'S CRAZY ! I swear I was building a deck around that guy in brawl like yesterday, and I got trashtalked for using it so I discarded it, and here you are, making another deck around that one !

I was clowned on for running Runo in my playgroup cause it was “weak” and “would never win.” Took it apart, and now this makes me wanna put it back together
It's the same people who tell me Mishra is horrible and can't win until he wrecks the board and takes 3 players to team up on me lol I would recommend spawning kraken for even more tokens with runo and serpent of yawning depths to make your octopus, kraken, leviathan, and serpents unblockable. And a welming wave.
@@dylansturm8065 my favorite combo was always Junk Winder and Krothuss. All the tokens see each other enter the battlefield and you essentially control the board.
Imagine that Commander making an army of spawning kraken everytime you deal combat damage with your seamonsters you get a 9/9 for each copy of the spawning kraken

Still think the vampire part still odd why it starts a vampire should have been a pirate or wizard or merfolk would make more sense then changes in to horror type when transforms
It's because of who the character is in the lore. Runo is the patriarch of one of the major vampire houses on innistrad, he gets kinda bored because he's very old so he joins silly cults for fun. Turns out this one snared him. I suppose they could have used Lier for this but I like that it's runo.
