SEA OF NITPICKING - PART 2 

This series is a slow descent into madness and I'm all for it.

1:01 Fun fact about real life merchant ships: They would pretend to have more cannons than they actually did to try and ward off pirates and the like. Pirates did the opposite and covered up their extra cannons with painted canvas (which looked convincing from far enough away). Given that we're both pirates and merchants in the game, I think it makes at least a little bit of sense.

My favourite has to be the anchor itself, when dropping it behaves fine, but when raising apparently it needs to be all the way up before it’s out of the anchored point 😐

Learning about the capstan as a person who has played this game for more than 3 years is one of the most traumatizing things I have ever discovered.

1:06 A lot of ships actually had fake cannons to look more threatening, even though they couldn't be used

Genuinely, seeing smoke come out of the chimneys on outposts would be such a good QoL addition, and make it feel so much more lively and immersive, just something as small as that

It's pretty magical that the lanterns work underwater.

The fact that gold skeletons rust is probably a reference to Fool's Gold (pyrite), which is actually a compound of iron, and rusts in water.

You know what picks my nit? The fact everyone now has me thinking about nitpicks

Having your character puke at the end was a nice touch.

You can now sit on the rug in the tavern at Ancient Spire. You would think this is a bug, but come to find out you can ALSO do at Plunder. No big deal right? Whats wrong with sitting on a rug? It does the wrong animation, so your legs clip straight through the ground. Now, I don't know if this is intentional, and they forgot to change the animation, but if it's not, it seems like someone at Rare either isn't doing their job, or they aren't to happy because they did this with not 1, but 2 taverns.

5:16 this just renforces the idea that the brig is the best ship

2:06 I wonder about this for some IRL shopkeepers. "You're telling me you just hold it all day? Look. I know you have a bathroom. Let me use it!"

And that's why the brigantine is perfect.

this may be one of the best Sea of Thieves videos ever. the last part has blown my mind and i can not put it back together

It's just a nitpick 1:47 Also, with holiday decorations up, when you sit on the bar you clip through them... but that's okay... Just nitpicking... they'll be gone in a month, hopefully... and we can sit anywhere else without clipping, absolutely sure of that, right? Also, about time Bushido got called out :P

The missing room on the galleon we can see outside on the back of the ship is the bathroom obviously.

This is a community nitpick- why are there multiple handles on the anchor when no one helps you raise it?

How does your pirate fit in the barrel of the rowboat cannon? I can understand ship cannon because they're long, but that thing is tiny. And what about fat pirates? How do they fit in either?

The only nit pick I have is that shadow skellys cant be hit by swords in their shadowy state but they can use swords while in the shadowy state

The answer to where the commodities come from (e.g. silk) is probably from the world beyond the mist (where the first pirates came from in lore)

In the lore, the chests are made from locks that can't be picked, and metal that won't rust. Solved that one. As well, the GMU exists, and is where the merchant goods come from. They've established a trade route with the outside world.

The weapon*smith* is the blacksmith! One of them actually talks extensively about different types of weapons that they can make, I think the one on like, plunder outpost?

Where does the anchor go tho, we can't see it beneath the boat. Do they store all the dropped anchors upstairs in the tavern?

1:02 I have once heard deck artillery was mostly a myth in real life. Because of the weight of the cannons, it is preferable to keep them as low as possible (aka in the hull). It might work on a small ship like a sloop or a gunboat but larger ships usually more than one of artillery pieces and mostly below deck.

I've never played this game nor will I ever want too, but you make some damn good videos on it.

The sloop and galleon being buffed in the new update is a slight nod to the fact that rare won't center the GODAM CAPSTAN AAIFJJJSAFJFASFASJKJKF
