A short video demonstarting the use of gyro with Sea of Thieves on the Steam Deck.
Note: the recording causes quite a drop in performance in this game in particular. A lot of the stutter isn't present normally, and you have around 5 - 10 fps higher when not recording.

Thanks for sharing! I'm really looking forward to play some FPS(like BF1?) on steam deck with gyro since I've been playing Splatoon on the Nintendo Switch with gyro and it was really good! And I wonder what graphic setting you are using in the video?

Hello, are you using gyro as "mouse" or "joystick mouse"? I can see the mouse cursor sometimes, thus thinking it is "mouse", but your icons aren't jittering like they might when you change input type

Hi guys! I’m using gyro as mouse. For some reason the glyphs don’t change on the Steam Deck, but when I run the exact same settings on my PC and DualSense controller the glyphs do jump back and forth. No idea why. You should be able to find my community profile as: Sea of Gyro (Steam Deck) v1. I recommend to set the in game mouse sense to 1.5 and the sense of all weapons to 10.0 (max)

How did you get your FOV to zoom out/show so much of your character? Is it to do with the resolution or is there a way to take it past 90?

It’s not officially supported by the game. I used an external “trick” to get the fov above 90 that unfortunately I can’t share here for obvious reasons. I’m usually not one to “hack” a multiplayer game like this, but SoT is unplayable for me at 90fov. I also find it strange they don’t officially allow a higher fov. The first person view models don’t glitch/ start to look weird unless you go above an fov of115

Are you stuck at log-in? It might be necessary to start the game 1 time via Desktop Mode to sign into Xbox Live. After that it should be smooth sailing (pun very much intended)
