While hitreg and several other issues are a long standing problem, it never ceases to amaze me how many "dedicated" players just don't want to see a game evolve. They hate everything that gets updated released and sit on the game for 8 hours a day. Wild.

All the new quests and cosmetics look great. The costumes especially. I haven’t seen the new skelly cosmetics but they sound cool as well. Honestly, this season has outperformed my expectations so far

"Take on the world the way you want to" -unless you want to do the new content without diving to it (trade company specific fort raids) -unless you want to do all the games content in safer seas -unless you want to dive anywhere.... since i just tried to dive to shores of gold checkpoint and i spawning in to an outpast far as heck away and sinking due to holes.

Safer seas is for new players to get used to the game before jumping into high seas, or people who wanna do a chill session, and forgo extra rewards.

Heya. Sea of thieves will always have a special place in my heart, its the first game me and my dad played together on launch day. For everyone complaining about not having more new content, I think this is actually better. Stepping back for a second, you'd think voyages would be the core of a game like this, but before this season pretty much every player learns early on that they just aren't worth the time to payout ratio and so the risk/reward of having loot and the expectation that meeting a ship on the sea might be profitable collapses. I'd much rather old content be relevant again than throwing more flashy boss fights on top of a game with a core part of it broken in the corner and wasting space. I'm very glad rare is going back to new content after this though, It's been a while.

Once again Rare seems to think overloading the game with reskinned voyages is a good thing. What the game really needs is more variety in the actual world. New areas, new weapons, new enemy types, new wildlife. The actual core of the game is fine it's just stale because everything is just a reskin of something else. Idk if the current engine or something is hindering this but if so they really should consider SoT 2 on a newer one.

Updates look great. I really like how there was an emphasis on trying to reduce sailing time and updating voyage loot. Looks like there is a lot more variety and you don't have to spend 10-30 mins to get started.

stinks that we can only get the new fort loot by diving to a fort. would have been cooler if the person who kills the fort boss makes it drop a trading company key that when put in the door turns all the loot into the appropriate trade company. that way those of us who dont want to dive off a server dont have to

I thought that making the seas more interesting would be the solution given to the boredom of sailing the same path every day, but instead they added fast ravel, fine, guess it works too.

They didn't add fast travel, it literally dives you to the start of your voyage but the rest is up to you, doing the voyage still requires sailing it's just you won't have to sail 10+ min to even start that voyage and you can only dive once every 10 min

so the general idea is, take a multiplayer game, kill the servers arena style, make everyone play solo to get money and then in multiplayer make people just shoot each other until everyone is bored of the game because there’s no risk to reward ratio, aight ok down for that but might wanna change main games cuz it won’t last long and neither will you in modern society (tbf we need big changes so you have the right idea but going the wrong direction)

Really good update but I feel like it's a bit half assed and rushed a little bit feel like there should be more loot from the voyages. I did an oder of souls coral treasury and only got 6 skulls from it I think there should be a few more regular skulls/loot alongside the new loot in the dived to events but other than that complaint a very good update

@@MiddleFingerLimited Fair, but at the same time its a somewhat unreasonable thing to ask for, the game is balanced around being able to watch the horizons for enemy ships, if people could just pop up randomly at a world event, it would prbably be smart to have half your crew always on the ship, wich is just less fun. Though if u wnt the stress of it, u can just always have hourglass up and never dive for it.
