I'm watching this masterpiece in 2023. Seal will forever and always be fantastic. His songs will never get old. He is and always will be a great artist.
I heard this song at a time in my life when I was desperate for change to come. Oh how I prayed for it. Life has felt stagnant for so long. And always the change I sought was in external circumstances i couldn't control. Now I know that the change I was seeking was on the inside. Listening to this now takes me back and reminds me how far I've come.
It’s my baby girls favorite song!!! She ain’t even 2 yet. Her daddy sang it to her since she was born. She just puts her little hands up and really feels the music!!!
Amazing performance. Seal’s voice coupled with the orchestra arrangement really delivers something special that touches you deep inside. It’s not just a song, he performs well. Love the crescendo towards the end. Thank you Seal
How many times in history do we get the rendition actually being able to hold a candle to the original? I bet a precious few and this one right here is up there with the very best. Seal resurrected the spirit of Sam Cooke with this. Goodness Me!!!🔥
, cite {l homme le plus fort du monde} sera vaincu. Moi je l adore et lui rend grâce car grâce à lui je me suis battu et tjs là. Merci SEAL ❤ Amen 🌹🕊️🌹💋🌺🙋
Is no one going to talk about the impeccable big band arrangement and performance. I still stan Seal, but let's not forget the musicians, arrangers and producers.
This whole album was/is brilliant. Not usually a fan of covers and a massive Soul fan myself but have to say this was so good and reckon he even improved on some of the originals (IMHO) 👏👏👌🎶
@@emilerose1424 Matthew 16:25-27 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. According to God, they have lost their soul.
What a,wonderful rendition of a beautiful classic song i love. We are still waiting for that change to fully come and be realized. PEACE TO YOU ALL NY BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
👏 I FINALLY found this live ❤️ video version today of Seal’s 🎤👍 cover for this great classic 🌟 Sam Cooke song! I had only heard the recording before now, but being a more ‘visual’ person, I prefer to see/watch how people look when they perform. I’m going on 70 and was trained as a classical pianist and organist since I was 5, but still love ALL genres of music - ONLY if it’s done by someone who’s talented! IMO, (this) Seal’s is THE best male cover of it, and Jennifer Hudson’s did THE best female cover when she performed it during a tribute to Denzel Washington for his role in the movie Malcom X (which was so moving and emotional that it got a standing ovation, and nearly brought tears to his eyes, and mine as well). I KNOW I’m going to be watching this bravo 🙌 performance video over and over, again and again - this meaning multiple times EVERY SINGLE DAY! I feel sorry for those people who don’t know about, or appreciate, the quality of the music from the past and instead think today’s music is the greatest ever to exist - their loss imo. But then again, it’s a matter of personal taste and preference, and fortunately, thanks to technology now we have the ability to have access to the amount of music we do!
everyone's got their goto songs on youtube, this is one of mine :) it's not like have big changes , just tweaks, so this song seems to put my little life adjustments in check, thanks seal
Dewon Murdoc because metal music speaks to your brain but seal’s music speaks to your heart and soul. Some artist work for evil and other for the light. Seal work obviously for the good side. You should listen to his song Love divine, and you will understand. God bless you my brother.
@@heytn I agree bro. Plenty of metal bands are God fearing. Don't let the stigma get to you. I love metal too. Listen to "happier?" By Volumes. Beautiful song. You are loved man.
Não basta saber cantar; a interpretação é fundamental. Parabéns Seal, tenha certeza que ele, Sam Cooke, está feliz, sabendo que sua luta não foi em vão e que continuará, sempre.
Gorguruga - it certainly is one of the finest covers ever. Met him years ago when he was just starting to make his name. Nice guy and touted to be a big star even then, when he was doing the rounds of the record labels. Beautiful, soulful an singular voice. A change has to come, after our current global tribulation, another warning to all of us to change our ways towards the planet and to each other....✊🌍🌎🌏👍🙂❤️
I just stumbled on this cover and wow! Perfect! It has been done well before, but never like this has been done. Compliments. The story sadly is, still a thing happening this day, in this world. Share the love and music, fight racism.
@Jan Benes. My first reaction to your post was, "How could something as coincidental as white skin color determine what we feel when we listen to a song like this?" But then, when I look at world history, maybe you have cued me into something.
YOU HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT MUSIC IN MY LIFE. THE WAY YOU TAKE A SONG AND MAKE ME SEE THE LYRICS IN FULL COLORS. ALL OF MY CAREER I WAS A TELEVISION PRODUCER SO I LONG TO SEE PICTURES AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL VOICE CAN TAKE ME TO THAT PLACE. AND ALSO TO TEARS...WHICH I LOVE. THANK YOU!!!
Unexpectedly, mine, too. I say unexpectedly because today is pretty awesome. Yesterday was pretty awesome. In fact, the past few months have been pretty awesome. Yet, this song reminded me of a couple of years ago, where I was, and how bleak it looked. I recently read something that pointed out that, if you're younger than 38, statistically, your best experiences, your best changes haven't happened yet. Still being under 38, having experienced the change Seal talks about... Well... I'm with ya
