Tim have you tried the Texas Power paddle motor? Just wondering it looks like a great new motor option and I know from watching you have tried most of them. Thank you for all of the content.

I have not tried the Texas Power paddle. I've looked into them, but I feel they are a little under powered for my use. I'm not a fan of the rudder style attachment either. Right now, for me, the only options are the Newport Vessels NK-180S or a Torqeedo, but NK-180S is more budget friendly and I think it's great value for the price.

Hello, came across your video last summer when I bought a Hobie compass and wanted to make some upgrades. An opportunity came up for me to trade my 2021 Compass with kick up turbo fins for a 2019 Outback with the Mirage 180 drive but not the kick up fins. The Outback is in really good condition and I wanted to switch to an Outback for increased fishability and stability as I’m a bigger guy. The trade I want to propose to the guy is my Compass plus $500 for the Outback. In your opinion is that dumb trade on my part? I don’t think I would mind the Outback drive not having kick up fins as I don’t fish super shallow very often. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks

If it's something you prefer and you would use more, then it's worth it. If the Kickapoo fins are something you think you really need, see if you can work the deal where you keep the Mirage Drive with the kick up fins and he keeps the Outback drive.

HI Tim I'm a local guy from Belle River just wondering where the best place to buy a lithium battery that you promote on your channel. Just be powering up a fish finder. Thx Carl

Sorry, yes all is well and sorry for neglecting the channel. I started making my own line of kayak accessories and haven't put any time in on the channel. I have a few videos lined up along with videos about my accessories.

@@TimPercyKayakFishing Looking forward to see all kayak accessories you have come up with . I purchased two of your anchor wizard H Rail attachments from you awhile back . They were exactly what I was looking for , unfortunately life got in the way and I didn't get out on the kayak this year . Take care and good to know you are doing well .

Are you sure that you have the correct charger for your lithium charger?? ALL of my "12 volt, 12AH" LiFePo4 lithium batteries come off the charger at 14.4 volts, and remain right at around 14 volts until I start using them. A fully charged LiFePo4 cell's voltage is 3.6volts×4 in parallel = 14.4 volts.

Yes, I'm sure.
@davelowets

@@TimPercyKayakFishing Then why was the voltage that low on it after a full charge? 🤔 How long did it sit for after you took it off the charger?

its weird that they are the same size and capacity but one is half the price.
@TimPercyKayakFishing
@TimPercyKayakFishing Год назад
Same capacity, but the lithium has more usable Ah and has many more charge cycles longer. In the long run, the lithium one will be cheaper

@@TimPercyKayakFishing not necessarily you can recondition the lead acid batteries Cheap and keep reusing them ,once those lithium batteries are done they're done,And with lithium you are totally dependent on a few suppliers but you can get lead and sulfuric acid anywhere, you could make your own lead acid battery if you had to, try making a lithium battery first you would have to strip mine about a thousand acres of land to get that much lithium haha the only real advantage in them is the lightweight which is a big advantage
